How to change the headlight on 2006 mazda tribute

The bulb is actually very easy and straight forward to replace.

If you are replacing one bulb, I suggest doing both at the same time and a twin pack is less than buying two packs seperately.

• Removal

1. Holding the connector on the sides squeeze and pull back away from you.
2. Once the connector is removed, gently pull the rubber boot back.
3. This will revail a snap type of clip. NOTE bottom of clip does come off. Push each top side of the clips towards you to relase them.
4. Once the tops of the clip are undone let the clip swing down.
5. slide the bulb out of the lens.

• Install

1. To install the new bulb ensure the three keys are properly aligned with the lens when installed.
2. Install buld into lens.
3. Place clip over bulb.
4. Place boot over bulbs making sure it is fully engaged into lens.
5. Push connector back onto bulb.
6. Check lights to make sure everything works.

#1 cylinder is on the back of the motor first one to the ritght. On the driver's side. the cylinders go 1,2,3 fromright to left on the back of motor as stand facing the vehicle and 4,5,6 left to right in the front of the motor as you face the vehicle. Hope you understand what I'm telling you.

a battery waring ligth is not telling you that the battery is defective, it is telling u that the battery is not being charged by the alternator, have the battery and alternator tested to determine th4e cause, a failing battery many times can damage the alternator as it causes it to overheat, so if the alternator is in need of replacing then it is very important that the battery be fully charged and tedsted prior to installing a new alternator if indeed that is the final diagnosis.

First you would need the TOOLs in American and Metric sizes as both American and Metric Nuts and Bolts are included on your Mazda, Then a Hydraulic jack that can hold at least 1 corner of the Mazda off the ground and--be able to with-stand the rocking motion as you did the job, Then you"d have to be concerned with parts, suppose you get the wrong parts, suppose you find a frozen or broken part, such as a brake hose, now you would have to bleed the brake system too. It"s very smart you are willing to do your own brakes BUT EVEN WISER TO KNOW, TO MANY PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH THE JOB. BEST BET, look for a sale on Brakes with-in you area, The tools, time and effort even if the job went smoothly, would cost about the same as the shop. Look for a sale, and have the shop do your brakes.
