Nissan Altama Starter Relay electrical problems or a fuse?

Four months ago my battery went dead, I replaced the alternator and bought a new battery. Recently the starter would just barely turn the starter over, but the car would not start. I had the battery charged but shortly the battery went dead and I replaced it only to find I now have no electrical power, zero. I turn on the key and nothing. No dash lights, no horn, no elec windows, headlights, nothing? I had the battery checked at Autozone - it was fully charged, so seems not to again be the alternator issue. Is this a Starter Relay problem ? Or some blown Fuse ? I've check most obvious fuses - all seem intact, so .....??

Double check the battery positive connection wiring carefully as it commonly has connection problems when the battery is changed.

SOURCE: Dashboard and tail lights out on 97" Nissan Sentra

I took my pathfinder to U-HAUL and asked them to check the towing lights. There was a pinched wire by my tail light and they cut it and changed it out for me, it was $5. I am so glad that I didnt take it to Nissan. My second step was going to be getting a new dimmer switch..but the guy who worked on my car said that wouldnt be the problem. He also told me that replacing a fuse that kept blowing out was dangerous and after the first time to get it checked out. Learn something new every day!!

Does the starter crank the engine over? Saying your truck won't start could mean that the starter spins be the engine won't fire. If the starter is not spinning is it at least clicking?

Why no charging on nissan almera ?

So, you did not have the welding done with gas, but with electric arc.
Anytime a person welds on a car with anything electric, the car's owner must disconnect ALL things electrical, or everything may be toasted, as yours is.
The alternator is a self-contained unit, and it either works or doesn't.
The alternator has the voltage regulator inside as a part of it.
I believe you may be needing an ECU, which is the brain of the car, however, because of the damage caused by an uninformed person, your car may never be fixed, because some wires may have shorted out (melted together) inside on of the wire harnesses that are all over your car. I think the best you can hope for is that it runs, and the alternator charges the battery as needed. I think the alternator is supposed to put out about 13.1 volts.
If you look up an ECU on e-bay, you will notice there are repair services who can repair your ECU. I have used them several times, and this has worked well for me.
Sorry.
Be blessed.

MIGHT BE A RELAY ! LOCATED UNDER HOOD, YOU SHOULD SEE RELAY BOX NEXT TO BATTERY. MAKE SURE BATTERY TERMINALS ARE CLEANED, PUT SOME VASOLINE ON TERMINALS, RECONNECT, TIGHTEN. CHECK ALL GROUND WIRES. ARELAY BOX MAY ALSO BE LOCATED NEXT TO POWER STEERING . COULD HAVE A FAULTY SOLONOID@ STARTER, IGNITION SWITCH COULD ALSO BE FAULTY, ITS NEVER EASY TO PINPOINT ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS, PROCESS OF ALIMINATION, CHECK ALL STARTING CIRCUIT SYSTEMS, IS YOUR SHIFT LEVER ALL THE WAY IN PARK ? DOES ENGINE CRANK ? OR DEAD, NO POWER ? ARE YOU GETTING SPARK ? HOW ABOUT FUEL ? DID YOU REPLACE BOTH THE AIR &FUEL FILTERS ? THE STARTER / SOLONOID IS WHAT CRANKS THE ENGINE, I THINK YOUR PROBLEM IS THERE ! REPLACE RELAY TO STARTING SYSTEM, ARE YOUR SPARK PLUG WIRES NEW ! THEY WILL SHORT OUT ANY SPARK IF OLD, DIRTY, I SUGGEST A TUNEUP, NEW FILTERS, AND REPLACE STARTER/SOLONOID !!!!!!

Replaced starter, alternater and battery car still drains battery. whats wrong?

First you can not test an alternator by disconnecting the battery cable. That is what we did back when cars had generators. Today you can fry the computer and alternator running the engine with the battery cable off.
Meanwhile, I would look for a fuseable link or main fuse problem. The alternator circuit may not be connected to the fuse box and battery.

I ve vchanged the battery and alternator on my 94 nissan sentra and the system still wont charge what is the cause

My wife and I have owned three 1994 Sentra cars. One of them went through batteries and alternators like crazy. Last time the 1-year old battery died, I replaced it and went straight to an auto electric shop. The technician found the alternator was putting out about 77 amps the entire time the engine was running (factory alternators are rated for 80 amps, but only when charging nearly-dead batteries). He also found that the harness running to the alternator was hot enough to scald you if you touched it. Miraculously, I found a factory NOS harness on eBay and bought it. Easy to put in, and the car went from a maximum charging voltage of about 13.1 volts, to a MCV of up to 14.1! Haven't replaced a battery or alternator on it since. Hope this helps someone...

It is possible that you got a defective alternator, but it sounds like you have another problem. Of course, you should check that you have +12V on the field connection of the alternator as well as the battery terminal. I think a more likely explanation is that you have a broken connection or a blown fuse in the engine fuse block. If all of the electrical systems in your car are dead, that is a good sign that the connection between the battery and the fuse block is broken. If you have no power on the power (battery) terminal of the alternator and you have power in the fuse block, then check the fusible link (maxifuse).

Get back to me if you do not find the problem, and I will attempt to help you further.
