Sometimes parking brake light on and wipers+lights+internal fan stop working

Intermittent fault. If I take off parking brake when starting the car or sometimes when I hit a big bump in the road. The warning light for the parking brake comes on (half as bright as normal). Then I have no lights, windshield wipers or internal fan. I restart the car and all is good until next time. Any ideas?

Parking brake is on half lit and I don't have lights, blower, or wiper power. i can still use my brights(by holding the stick in) but blower and wipers still don't work.

the big bump would suggest a loose connection possible at the ignition switch. the parking brake is odd though

SOURCE: 1998 Jeep Wrangler Electrical Short in Steering Column?

I had a similar problem with my 2000 Jeep TJ and I found the problem in the wiring harness under the hood.several wires were corroded and almost burnt off.If you remove the black tape which keeps the harness bundled together and if you see evidence of "green" type powder or "gook" it's most likely where the wires have faulted.

SOURCE: Brake Problem on 2004 VW Passat

You have to get CV Boots replaced, this happens because they split. What happen was something got stuck inside the axel where the little boots is held on and split that little piece of rubber (its easy to do). As a result, fluid leaks and and spashes on the back tires so you never know it happens. When you make turns the car will make a clicking noise. You can add fluid but, it will continue to leak out if those boots are split so, you have to replace the boots. I had to replace the boots and axel because the boots come on the axel. Its an expensive project. Boots, axel and labor $500 starting if you go through the dealer. Also, if you have an extended warranty they won't cover it because there is no time frame when these boots split it just something that can happen. Honestly, they know this is something common especially if you drive through snow.

Check your taillight bulbs. Usually the interior accessories are connected to the taillight circuit as a warning system for when your laillight or breaklight bulbs are blown

2013 Bentley Mulsanne - fault light comes on then the windshield wipers come on, alarm goes off when parked, AC blows but not cool air. All this happens at once.

You need a good mobile auto-electrician with a pro grade scan tool computer to diagnose the anti theft system and the Body Control Module functions. The fault light will also give a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). Please don't swap out items like batteries on a guess, diagnose and then replace.

Intermittent wiper stops in middle of windshield when in use

If the wipers self-park in the other settings and after use of the screenwashers the fault is probably in the intermittent timer relay or circuitry.

If the self park is not working in the other settings the fault is probably the self-park switch within the wiper motor.

Intermittent wipers not functioning properly on 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Does it have the rain sensor (behind the mirror). Sometimes the rain sensor module comes loose.
Otherwise probably the wiper motor, which has the park limit switch in it, needs to be replaced.

Gauge lights

ABS and Brake warning lights intermittent may be caused by a failing wheel speed sensor(ABS Sensor) and /or its connector. You may have one on each wheel hub(4WD) or if 2WD, a sensor may be on the rear axle differential center.

Your problem is you have a bad connection somewhere like at parking lights/stoplights/rear lights/so what you do is remove all parking and rear lights then turn on indecators and check the lightsyou will find that one of them has a bad earth and when you put them back in the lights flash dimmly and thats the one with a bad connection or a bad earth going to that light.

Wipers won't stop wiping.

Sounds like your intermittent wiper circuit is defective. Normally the intermittent feature is engaged by one of the functions on the multi-function switch (usually on the steering column). The circuit of the intermittent wiper periodically activates a relay that closes across the "Wiper On" switch. Your intermittent wiper circuit is likely defective and holding its relay closed (or the relay is stuck closed), thereby keeping the wipers on. Note: The wiper motor has an internal switch that opens when the wipers are in the park position and that is designerd to stop the wipers in the park position. When you turn on the wipers (or the intermittent relay is closed), the motor's internal switch is shunted such that the wiper does not stop at the park point of the cycle.

Windshield wipers intermittent on 2002 Windstar

2002 Windstar wipers would come on by themselves, or not work set on intermittent, driver door lock would not work sometimes, ABS and brake light would come on sometimes, the problem was in the park switch inside the wiper motor. I replaced with wrecking yard wiper motor $44.95 w/13 month warranty. no more problem. check how many pins on connector plug, mine had 5 on the wiper motor side.Take the wiper assembly off of the metal cowl, 2 nuts, & I bolt, it is easier to snap the actuator pieces off of the wiper motor that way. God Bless JMR
