To restore the 2002 Lincoln LS anti-theft system, You will start by Pressing and holding any button on Your remote within 20 seconds of the eighth turn.

The spark plugs in the v6 can become an involved job as the upper intake manifold. The LS uses a Coil on Plug (COP) ignition system, meaning that the spark plugs are located under the ignition coil

1-2-3-4- Pass
5-6-7-8 Driver

No coil E on an LS

PO305 same thing as E

must have a shorted wire on that circuit. check the wiring harness for rubbed through areas. also make sure the coils are the only thing that is powered by that fuse.

V6? passenger side is 1 2 3 drivers side is 4 5 6

7mm socket to remove coil covers and coil

1 thru 4 pass side
5 thru 8 drivers side
Front to back

these are individual coils per cylinder replace your number 5 coil that is most likely the issue also it may be time for your spark plugs also.if this is a 8 cylinder the #5 coil will be drivers side front first coil.I would get a good coil from the dealer.

These cars are famous for leaky seals where the valve cover interfaces with the cylinder head, at the spark plug journals. They fill with oil, short the coils and cause a misfire. Driving it any significant distance can destroy your catalytic converters ad unburnt fuel ignites therein, creating inferno-like conditions and a fire hazard too. You'll get a "300 code", such as 301 if cylinder 1 is misfiring, 302 for # 2, etc. Pull the coil off the spark plug for that cylinder and if it is moist at all, that's your issue. Have new seals put in, or you'll just keep blowing coils at $50 a whack.
