Hello.
Just recently developed a locking problem on my BMW.
When i lock the car i have to use the key in the lock. I have to turn
the key as per normal, not once, but exactly 9 times before the doors
will all stay locked. When the key is turned to lock all the doors
lock, then unlock themselves until the 9th attempt when it works
normally... very frustrating.
Any ideas for a solution?
thanks
I had the same problem and one of the cells in the battery had gone down and the car would not lock as it thought the battery was flat replaced battery and it was working fine again.
Get a new lock as the dead lock has broken. But befor you have it installed have the key tumblers for the dead lock
I have an E34 BMW 5 series and lost the remote that opened the doors, I went to Adelaide Motors and purchased a new one then had them to get it to work with the alarm. About 3pm that day they phoned me to pick it up and when I went to pay for the work I was told that they could not get it to work and said that there would be no charge. To me this was great, so I sent an Email to head office in Germany saying how well I had been looked after. I then got a reply not just from Germany but Head office here in Australia in Sydney also from Adelaide Motors, thanking me for the feedback. So once again well done BMW.
