We changed the fluid and put Lucas transmission treatment in it and it still slips. changed the camshaft position sensor b/c the check engine light kept coming on and throwing that code. still didn't work. The transmission changes very smoothly. When it starts to slip if you take your foot completely off the gas and press it again to shift it up then it does fine. is my transmission going out or is something else wrong?

disconnect the negative battery cable. the cmp sensor is located on the left end of the cylinder head. move thebrake booster hose and electrical wires out of the way to access the cmp sensor. disconnect the sensor plug by pushing the locking tab back toward the firewall. remove the 4 bolts from sensor and lift out sensor. remove the trox bolt which holds the target magnet to camshaft. when installing target magnet be sure to line up holes to dowels on end of camshaft. torque torx bolt to 30 in-lbs. be sure to install new o-ring on sensor and torque bolts to 80 in-lbs. I would suggest that you try servicing the transmission and having the fluids and filters replaced. Dodge is really good about having transmission issues related to partially plugged filters or stuck valve bodies.
