It is part of the fuel pump module inside the fuel tank, all the cars are starting to use this type of setup, the filter is only serviced when the fuel pump fails.
Orange engine light is coming on but no code is being shown.
Engine is stalling at idol. Stalls much quicker if AC is turned on.
Horse power while driving seems fine and engine drives smooth, but immediately wants to stall when clutch is pushed in or at idol.
Please Help!
The 4 cyl. doesnt have a filter mine doesnt have one
How do I access the fuel pump in an 04 Saturn vue?

I believe the filter is actually a part of the fuel pump module. You have to replace the whole thing. You can contact Saturn parts to verify this.

It is probably a bit different on the 4-cyl engines than the V6 engines. I'll assume you have the V6 for the moment since those seemed to be more popular.
On the 3.5L V6, the drain plug is behind the passenger side wheel well and I believe takes a 17mm socket/wrench to remove.

The fuel filter is in the primary fuel tank on your vehicle.
SOURCE: How often should I get
you should never need a brake flush, possibly get the brakes bled if you have brake work or replace brake cylinders, master cyl ,brake lines replace, or a brake job. you also dont need power steering flush. If you have work done on the rack and pinion or the pump replaced they will add fluid as needed and bleed air from the system but you shouldnt need a flush on those items. Now for the fuel injection, our so called high tech fuel is suppose to have all those goodies in it, but if you think you need to you can go to the local auto parts store and buy fuel injector cleaner and add it to your tank of fuel every 6-8 fill ups or every two months. I personally would change my fuel filter more often rather than add injector cleaner. Gas is a great grease and grime cleaner in itself as long as it does not sit stagnant for a period of time where it will "tarnish" The idea of a fuel system is to keep it clean from debris with a filter so the spray of the injector does not get clogged or damaged. Injector cleaner only helps clean carbon and varnish deposits, it will not remove a small pin head size rock or other foreign debris, that is the filters job. So the filter is much more important.
