I have a 94 land rover discovery. When Its in 2 wheel drive the front driveshaft spins but the truck wont pull, and a grinding noise in the front axle. In 4wheel drive it does fine but don't think the front is pulling.

The discovery is full time 4wd, you can change between high and low ratio, it sounds like a broken transfer case.

There are two fuse boxes. One in the engine compartment and one under the dash on passenger side.

You can find all parts for your Discovery here.

SOURCE: transfer case oil change- 1999 Land Rover Discovery II

No need for a diagram, to drain the oil, there's a drain plug on the bottom of the transfer box, under the handbrake drum. To fill, the fill plug is about in line with the centre of the handbrake drum and to the left. I think both plugs are 1/2" square. Fill to overflow with Texaco Multi-Gear 75W/90R. Takes about 2L or so.

If you're standing looking at the rear of the vehicle, it's on the chassis rail on the right hand side rear wheel arch.

1994 Land Rover Discovery Manual has a grinding and clunking noise from rear, right side

A grinding noise suggests a bearing at fault or perhaps worn pads on the brake rotor.

However, the clunking noise you mention could also point to a problem with the drive shaft or differential.

The first thing you should do is to get under the vehicle and try twisting the propshaft back and forth. If there's any movement this points towards a worn universal joint on the propshaft. A worn universal joint can cause a clunking noise - particularly when pulling away. The vibration caused by a worn universal joint can also damage bearings in the differential and also to the splined ends of the axle shaft.

You're also going to have to remove the wheel from where the noise comes from and examine the end of the axle shaft/bearing.

My 2000 land rover discovery 2 sd model will not engage into 4 wheel drive and the engaging handle has no pressure at all?

Your DII is (always) in 4 wheel drive. There is NO 2x wheel drive option on a DII, it's always in 4x4 high, or low. To select 4-wheel drive low, put your transmission in neutral and pull down the high low gear selector.

When i put in gear makes loud bang more so when car warm it sounds more like front diff than gear box area( common ) land rover discovery 95

Gear clunking is normal in the Rover's transfer case. It uses straight cut gears - they are stronger, but louder. If not out of the T-Case, check the front driveshaft - another common wear point.

Doe the land rove come with ABS brake

I'm not sure myself but do this test, find a baron stretch of road and drive up to 40 mph, then apply the brakes very firmly to try and lock the front brakes, you will notice 1 of 2 things, if the tires lockup and screech then no ABS, if you get a grinding pulsing action that doesn't sound good, then yes you have ABS, this action allows the wheels to continue to rotate to a certain degree. Good luck

How hard is it to change an Auto Transmission in a '94 Land Rover Discovery?

it's not to bad since its four wheel drive but you definaltely need a lift. Just simple housing bolts, and converter bolts. Not too major with proper tools.

98 land rover discovery

Most likely, you need another rear diff. to be sure, the old part will need to be removed and inspected for damage. Sounds like some metal or a bearing got ruined from lack of lubrication, like a chipped tooth or a binding bearing. Make sure the rear driveshaft u-joints are OK. while you're at it. Have the Discovery put on a rack with the rear axle lifted, so the rear wheels can be spun by hand to listen to the rear diff. Sorry about your troubles
