SOURCE: The drivers seat is stuck.

This is a seat slide motor assembly problem. I worked for an Infiniti dealer for many years as a service advisor, and this was a common issue on these vehicles. Most of the time you can take the **** end of a screwdriver and tap on the motor from the front of the seat and it should start working. It may work for a while but it will most certainly stop, how soon depends on how far gone it is. Eventually it will quit working altogether and tapping it won't work either. As a service advisor we probably replaced a hundred of those things. Last I knew the part was about 280.00 and about an hour labor. I would not take it to someone who doesn't really know Infiniti though as you may get the car back with an air bag light flashing or something. Dealers really don't try to rip people off, they generally want to do the right thing as they want you to come back for all your problems, keep that in mind.

SOURCE: power seat switch

It is most definitely the seat slide motor. Most infiniti drivers seats have three different motors. I30, I35's and QX4's all had problems with the seat slide motors. You can tap on the slide motor which is under the front of the seat and it will probably work for a little while, but it WILL stop working completely. There was actually a Technical Service Bulletin regarding this issue because there were so many vehicles that had this problem. I hate to see that guy waste money trying to get a circuit board rebuilt that absolutely will not solve the problem.

SOURCE: Driver's seat unable to move forward or backward

There are plastic gears connecting the track to the seat assembly. Whne one of these strip the seat will only work or move to one side. Infiniti does not sell a simple fix. You are looking at buying an entire seat assembly complete with the module for all the electronics. It will be at a cost of around $950 - $1000. Once that is in, Infiniti must program the seat to the brain of the car, only then can you reset your memory settings.

Air bag code 33 for a 2005 lincoln town car

2005 Towncar SRS Code 33 (3 flash + 3 flash, repeat this set for twice. then Beep 5 times pause x 5 = 25 beeps every 30min).

This means you have problem with left (Driver) side pretentioner (Seat belt retract system).
It doesn't mean physical belt or retract mechanism. It is just bomb wiring which is part of airbag system.
When airbag deploy, passenger must stay tight in seat otherwise body lean to front then slam back to seat by airbag.
if belt is loose or delay to lock, passenger's body rocks back and forth. So, system use small bomb (Fire power) to lock and retract seat belt when airbag deploy. There is small bomb and igniter in part of Seat belt retractor.
Code 33 is warning for this part on 2005 Towncar.(older model is different meaning in Ford/Lincoln, it's possibly passenger side airbag system for earlier model)
Before you work for any part of Airbag system and touch any "Yellow connector", * *Disconnect battery (negative side is good enough) and wait at least 5 min to clear all power in system**.(Airbag store back up power for few minutes to be able to deploy even in case if power disconnected)
by the way, you should move your driver seat most forwarded position before you disconnect battery to make it easy to work with seat belt.
locate driver side seat belt retractor (in center pillar between front and rear door, you may have to fight with weather strip)

Locate Yellow connector on bottom of Seat belt retractor (it's called "Pretensioner")it is located on very bottom of rear side of retractor.
only one yellow connector. (make sure your battery is disconnected)
Check its physical connection or looseness.if connection looks fine, you may have to replace whole seat belt ($180-$200 in Lincoln dealer)
You can check if pretensionor is good or bad by regular tester, but unless you know how, I won't tell (because I don't wan't you to blow out pretentionor).

Where are the driver's seat relays on a 2005 deville?

There isn't a separate "relay" for just the drivers seat. All the seats get power from one location so if the others are working you may be dealing with the controller/switch which is likely. If you can get to the plugs/connectors on the seat adjuster switch/module check any orange wires for power. All seats are connected to a 30 amp circuit breaker and am sure but am unable to get you a picture of the connectors right now but have them but know in the 05 devilles the orange wire is the power source. If I'm not mistaken there is a connector with only 2 wires (ornge & black) but don't quote me on this. If I am right, check the orange wire there. If there is power there you have power too but from there to the motor(s) and further tests need to be done to narrow down the problem. It could even have something to do with the memory seat controller. If you need further help you can reply here or email me directly at [email protected] with your information and I will be happy to help you with some tests to narrow it down. No there wouldn't be a charge for my help. Hope what little information I have given you at least helps some.

My daughter's 2005 grand prix will not start. How can she get in the trunk to get to her jumper cables because the key fob won't work to open the trunk and the inside trunk release won't work...

In your situation I think your best bet is going to be taking out the back seat. Luckily this is very easy and will allow you easy access to your truck and jumper cables. Okay in order to remove the back seat you will have to have a socket set. There should be 2 bolts holding the bottom of the seat down and you can find them on the floor on the front part of the rear seat. One bolt on the driver side and one bolt on the passenger side. After you get those bolts out you should be able to remove the bottom section of the seat. If you can not look for two more bolts on the back part of the seat. You will have to look between the back of the seat and the bottom part. After you take those two bolts out both parts of the seat should be free and you can remove them. I hope this helps.
