  • Locate the wiper motor, and disconnect the electrical wires from it by unplugging them. The wiper motor is in the engine compartment against the back firewall near the driver's side.
Disconnect the wiper arms from the wiper motor linkage by using the pliers to remove the clip.
Locate the wiper motor in the engine compartment on the back firewall and remove it with the proper size wrench. There are three attaching bolts.
Remove the wiper motor by twisting it around if you have to. The wiper arm linkage will come out with it. good-day !

  • 3Remove the cowl grill under the windshield wipers using the proper size screwdriver. This is the grill that you see under the wiper arms before the engine compartment hood starts.

SOURCE: how do I replace the right transmission arm from wiper motor 92 R

see if you have a nut on the top of the wiper are that has stripped off. there are splines that hold them on and the arms are both connected to each other. you would need replace the whole assembly that connects to the motor.

    NO PICTURES. BUT--
    OPEN YOUR HOOD
THERE IS A PLASTIC "COVER OR VENT" BETWEEN YOUR WINDSHIELD AND FIREWALL. FIND AND LOOSEN THE SCREWS THAT HOLD IT DOWN. NEXT LOCATE YOUR MOTOR- IT SHOULD BE ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. LOOSEN THE SCREWS THAT HOLD THE MOTOR TO THE FIREWALL FIRST. THEN SLIDE OFF THE GEAR THAT THE ARMS ARE CONNECTED TO. PUT SOME GREASE ON THE PIVOT POINTS WHILE YOU ARE UNDER THERE. DO THE REVERSE TO PUT IT BACK ON. DO NOT TIGHTEN THE SCREWS ON THE PLASTIC COVER UNTIL YOU HAVE THEM ALL STARTED AND ALSO BE CAREFULL TO NOT TIGHTEN THEM TOO MUCH. THE COVER COST MORE THAN THE NEW MOTOR DOES AND IT IS VERY ANNOYING WHEN YOU HIT 40 MPH AND IT STARTS FLAPPIN IN THE WIND.

2005 ford 150 4.6 v8 wipers stopped working but washer still works. could it be a fuse or wiper motor ? or what?

Check owners manual and see if a fuse control only the wipers but don't think it is a fuse. Disconnect motor and check for voltage at wiring harness. If voltage is present replace motor.

    Wipers stop vertical

with wipers on open hood when they stop .give the wiper motor good hit,if wipers go replace wiper motor.if not try operating blade with hand to make sure they don't bind up(tight spot).also look in cowl area for debris.

Where is the fuse box for my windshield washer?

assuming you are talking about the washer pump then that fuse is the same one powering the wiper motor....fuse #113 in the CJB (central junction box) near the right a-pillar

however... internal to the wiper motor is a relay that runs the washer pump motor
if this needs to be replaced then you are replacing the whole wiper motor assembly

Wiper motor stoping half way but motor is still going

Your wiper motor may be stripped.

You will need to get under the hood and check all mechanical links to rule this out.

If both wipers are stopped and the motor is still running it's most likely the connection right at the motor.

Replacing ithe motor would be your only option. $150 bucks at Autozone. Not too bad eh?
