When i start my car, i can set the temp down to 14 but its not helping, as soon as the car get warm . you can feel its blowing hot air inside the car and i have to then push the button to cut off all air supply to the inside of the car... very inconvenient!!!! please suggest a solution
Very nice job to repair this i can tell you ,drivers side towards the front is the manual control flap and the outer cable has come adrift from the support so the flap isnt closing although the control says it has ,so either seal the heater pipe with a pair of mulgrips or take to a peugeot dealer as this job although easy to a old fogey like myself is not for the faint hearted as if its broke the clip then its a dashboard out job ,another cause is the control unit the plastic is made from starch based deritivies and it decomposes very quickly breaking up and then the cable supports break first
Hi Collin, is there any easy way for me just to switch that flap to the other side for it to cut off the hot air and blow normal cold air? how do i get to this flap easy, i am a practical person so im sure ill be able to fix it with some help....thank very much ..Rudie
To be honest this is not a job for the faint hearted and i would entrust it to the peugeot dealer where you get a dealer fitter who works only on this make of car it is not a easy job to do sorry ,anyway dinner time has just been called so i had better go or face the wrath of er indoors

SOURCE: "when do i change the cam belt on a peugeot 307 sw diesel"
usually you should do it for peugeot diesel at 122000 miles along with water pump and the tensioner roller that runs under the cambelt too. But to be on the safe side do it at 100000 and save the fortune.
It took me (DIY job) about 6-8 hours as i wanted to save 450 pounds.

if it says the diesel filter, then that is what it means,a fuel filter.normal service requirement on any vehicle and can be done for small dollars at any garage

peugeot and citreon cars do bite high generaly, it is hydaulic there is no adjustment. but it also depends on how high it is ?? does it slip if you slightly rest your foot on whilst driving?? they do have a problem with the bearings going through the cover as it is the same bearing as a HDI . but you woud notice this as a different problem. ie noise or vibration on pedal. call me for more info .. paul @ the clutch centre..01527 64440 07790438337
