Turn the key to start my trailblazer and dash lights go dim or off all together and it wont start, nothing. turn the key back once wait 10 seconds and it will start, most of the time, sometimes not. sometimes have to wait 10 min try again it will start, sometimes 3 hrs try again it will start sometimes not????

Sounds like an antitheft problem I would start with the antitheft system. Usually when you only have one key all keys have to be programmed together even the original. When you have more than one it is easy to program additional keys.

what that means is your engine goes into protection mode and shut's off this is mostlikel;y do due to low coolant level or low oil level/pressure. have this checked by a qualified tech. diagnostic equipment must be used to clear the code after the problem is solved in order for your vehicle to run properly

sounds like a dead battery to start with. Not even enough juice in the battery to energize the solenoid / brake interlock to get it out of PARK. Hope this helps

I would clean the battery connecters or possibly change them. How old is the battery? sometimes when battery get old, they have enough juice to crank the motor but not enough to start it..But then again, if it doesn't crank at all sometimes, it could certainly be a bad or loose battery terminals..Start with this since its the simplest and easiest and could very well be your problem. hope this helps
