This sounds like it could either be brakes or a wheel bearing going bad. You can check this by removing the rear wheel and inspecting the brakes making sure the caliper is mounted on tightly and brake rotor isn't showing uneven wear. Also be sure to check the brake pads to make sure that they are not worn down to the squealer tabs. Most new pads are roughly 3/8" -1/2"thick. and will start squealing if at about 1/8"-1/16" thick. If everything checks out fine then check the wheel bearing by simply jacking the wheel up off the ground and grabbing. Now try to move it side to side or up and down, it should have no play what so ever. And spin the wheel to listen for screeching or squealing, it should rotate smoothly with no abnormal noises.
The front calipers are not the problem...did a shop replace the pads and rotors? Or did a friend replace these parts. The Chrysler front pads and rotors are an excellent design...easy to service and replace parts...only 2 bolts hold on each caliper, and the rotor is held in place with the caliper, and wheel. My first thought was a front wheel bearing is grinding, but you should have noticed this before the brake parts change. The pads could be installed backwards also...my second thought was you may have a loose wheel or two...retighten all 5 lug nuts by using the "star" tightening method, you may be surprised that the loose lug nuts are the only problem. Hi,It sounds like a noisey wheel bearing.you can check this by driving the car at 45 turn your steering wheel slighty to the left and back to the right.Listen for the howling noise to change,if it does you have one or both bad front wheel bearings.chances are thay both are bad.One's just louder than the other.if you are on a tight budget you can check them out by jacking your car up and put it on jack stands(safty first).Remove your wheels,brake pads and calipers,be sure to secure the calipers up out of the way.Remove the rotors.With everything out of the way now you can check the wheel bearings.You spin the wheel bearing slowly with the wheel stud this shuld turn smoothly,if you feel anything when turning it,then it is bad and it will need to be replaced.If you have any more questions just comment back and i'll answer. generaly a roaring noise is a wheel bearing but it would get louder the faster you go cleaning and lubing the pads and slides is really the only way to keep the from sticking no mention of replacing the hoses if you open the caliper bleeder screw fluid should drip almost instantly if not the hoses could be ruptured and not releasing fluid hope this helps good luck
if the front brake pads,rotor and more importantly the caliper were all installed correctly, this noise is probably a front hub bearing that is failing. they will start a humming noise and then a roaring/growling noise the worse they get. is the noise rotational? by that it will get louder and higher in pitch as you increase the vehicle speed. get it checked out right away to avoid possible further damage.
your gonna have to replace wheel bearing. remove wheel, brake caliper,caliper bracket,slide rotor off (brake disc) remove alxle nut, on back side there are 3 bolts ,remove them them it pulls out,look at new one youll see,you will have to hit with hammer to remove,hit hard top, bottom,left and right sides until it comes loose. good luck.
I certainly would take it back to the shop that performed the brake job and have them investigate. If it was not making the noise prior to the repair there is a good chance the noise is involved with the brakes. A possible loose brake pad, a sticking caliper(caliper pins may need to be lubed) or any number of things could be wrong.
i have a 2000 doge straus and i put two sensors in and it still wont shift any ideas out ther it was fine when parked a year ago so i know the tranaxle is good
Sounds like you still have air in your brake lines. Make sure all your brake lines are tight. Then bleed again. Bleed the trouble side first, meaning right side, then go to front left, back left then back right, make sure that your brake fluid is also full
