Key Fob won't lock door.

My key fob has good battery (checked that out) but it will not lock door. Fuse problem? When you clicl on lock - it makes lights on drivers side blink but doesn't lock. When you hit unlock - it sounds like it is trying. Where is the fuse located that I might try changing that out?

Most likely is not a blown fuse because it is trying to work. Try to find the antenna instead as it maybe block from the signal. You did not say what year is the car.

SOURCE: Jag S-Type -intermitent fault where the remote fob does not work

This does not sound like a fob fault - but a locking control module fault , either in the hardware or software of the unit. Get it checked at a Jaguar dealers. When unlocking using the key - as soon as the door is opened you should hear a chime sounding inside the car - this is a timer counting down to sounding the alarm. If you put your key in the ignition as soon as you open the door the alarm should not go off and the chime should stop. If it does not this again points to a fault in the locking controller.
hope this helps - good luck.

Key remote won't lock the door change fuse and battery in remote still don't work

Common Reasons Why Your Car Door Isn't Locking Properly The key fob battery is dead: This is one of the most common reasons why your car door lock is not working. If your locks aren't working, replacing the battery in the key fob could solve the issue. The key fob is faulty: If the battery isn't the problem, the issue may be with the fob itself. If you go to your car dealer, they can hook the fob up to a computer and make sure that the programming is still good. If it's not sending a signal, the fob will likely have to be replaced. A fuse is blown: If one door doesn't work, but others do, the problem could be a blown fuse. Replacing the fuse will correct the problem. This is a cheap and easy fix The solenoid is bad: Again, if one door doesn't work, but others do, the problem could be with the door lock solenoid. Replacing it may require removing the car door panel You have a broken wire: If the lock isn't getting power, hold the lock switch either up or down, and then open and close the door repeatedly to see if the lock will work. If it works sometimes, you probably have a broken wire

I changed my car battery, now my 2008 Nissan Altima key fob won't work

There is a special procedure involved in keying your fob to your car once the battery has been changed. You must lock and open the door with your key. Turn the ignition to "on"(not start) then push the fob's open and close button, then shut off ignition. This procedure is done everything the key battery is changed. Hope this can help you!

If the passkey is messed up, there will be a light on the dash that says security, or have a picture of a car with a lock thru it. If there is no light when the key is turned forward, then its NOT a passkey problem.

Won't open my door when I press unlock, key won't open door either

can you manually unlock the lock and open the door?? Is it more than one door or just one specific door? If its just one door, yourcactuator inside the door may be bad or you have a wire issue. If its all the doors, more than likely you blew a fuse or a relay(id say fuse)

But a used 2006 solara but key fob does not remotely open trunk. Any suggestions?

Yes, insure that you have power to the trunk lock inside trunk, If not could be lose/broken wire or shot fuse. I am sure the key fob does work for the doors? If not have key fob battery replaced. Also, a quick check on power to trunk lock, check to see if have remote power button inside car, if it works power is good. Defective key fob would then be indicated.
