Oil leak on rx7

Depends on where the leak is. IF it is a head gasket on lifter covers or a main seal makes a big difference.

its common for some automakers to leak oil, run badly, break often, & otherwise be a plain hassle............I would suggest reading consumer reports before buying new or used cars.

Where are you seeing the oil leaking from? Remember that gravity will cause the oil to drop down. The wind will also cause the oil to blow back while you drive. Look for the forward most and top most areas that are covered with oil. Common leak areas are the front oil seal (oil will look like it's coming from the bell-housing. Another common leak is the shifter plate gasket, just below the shift lever. Oil will be found draining from this area. I have also seen shoddy mechanics use the wrong bolts to hold the rear housing onto the main housing of the transmission. If the bolts used are to short, oil will leak between the main housing and the tail-shaft housing. Charlie

thats a oil cooler. probly need to be replaced or repaired .some times a radiator shop can fix it? good luck

the water seal at the housing is bad. check the oil if it looks like vaseline the motor needs to be rebuilt.

yes and no, i wouldnt recomend it with aurora.. i had same leak from the oil pan and put in the bars and it stopped the leak for a couple weeks. after that it leaked the same as before. i would never use it again on any of my cars.. i had a friend put in new pan gasket and it stopped the leak... i believe this is pretty common with the aurora...is it 95?

see if your rocker cover is is sealed right check to see if your oil filyer is sealed both could be leaking or 1 of them could be leaking
