How do I remove the damaged review mirror (passenger side) and install a new review mirror. ([email protected])
You need to remove the plastic plate that cover the mirror joint from the inside and undo the three bolts.
First you remove the triangular plastic cover.
Behind you find the first two bolts, undo them using an allen wrench.
Once you undo the first two bolts, open the passenger door all the way through and find that third bolt.
Undo the third bolt and free the mirror.

Well worth the investment and it will give you a step by step on how to do anything and everything with your vehicle. It is what the dealer mechanics use. How do I remove the damaged review mirror (passenger side) and install a new review mirror. The mirror assembly is attached to the car, not the door. I can't find any access to remove the assembly from the car. The actual mirror has separated from the tilt adjustment motor but is intact.
The mirror has detached, The housing that shields the mirror and drive motor has been damaged. The some of the attachment tabs on the mirror have been broken. The hinge assembly that allows you to colapse the mirror to move it out of "harm's way" appears to be OK. The entire mirror assembly is attached to the car body, not the door. Removing the door panel as in previous model years doesn't give any access.
I need to replace the mirror, the mirror motor and the mirror housing that contains the mirror and motor. This assumses that I can get these repair parts. Otherwise I will need to replace the entire assembly from the point where the assembly attaches to the car.
