You’re problem probably is in a bad tire , On hi speeds it usually turns out to be a back tire, try having your tires rebalance, first. Good luck.

Have a friend drive beside you on highway to look for wheel hop. Sounds like a tire out of balance or out of round. Visual inspection at speed will confirm.

SOURCE: 2005 Hyundai Tucson jerking violently

mirandamcl,

I just took my 2006 Tucson in to have this fixed. It was simply that that hose from the air filter was not clamped on tight. That was 2 days ago, no more problem.

SOURCE: help my audi is jerking

the best i can find from the information i have is it's near the tank (not all that great information) be that as it may i would suggest it is likely a problem with the coil pack or you have water in your fuel. you haven't mentioned how it idles. to test the pack... just unplug one spark plug wire at a time ... if the engine idle doesn't change you have likely located the problem... if it is indeed water in your fuel... add a couple bottles of gas line antifreeze to your tank.... it contains alcohol and will **** up the water.

SOURCE: My engine sputters and jerks only when it is raining and defrost

Yes I just changed my ignition coil and spark plugs where the ignition coil was bad #3 and all my problems stopped. It rained today for the final test and no sputtering or stalling whatsoever.

SOURCE: my car is jerking while accelerating and reaching certain RPM

I would look for a fault in the ignition system such as a cracked spark plug. Might need a scope check to put your finger on the problem

2005 Hyundai Tucson jerking in park and when coming to a stop light. Jeep runs rough and sometimes shuts off when making hard left or right turns. Could smell exhaust gas.

you have clogged fuel injectors, take it to a dealership only! they are the only place that has the proper set up to clean them. My 89 Mustang GT had the exact same problem and ford service center cleaned them for $80 and it was 100% better never had another problem, sold the car at 276K miles and it still ran perfect with no drips or leaks, the tranny finally went out. Never use those cleaners sold at stores they do more harm than good! they will void your warranty also.
