What tests can I do to test fault code P0193, and code P0183 on my Dodge Nitro

Points to fuel temperature & pressure sensor or sensors. Simple to check, just disconnect and read ohms. May just be a loose connector or wire. Not a very expensive part to have to replace. 25315585-zejmo41uy3tce5x43qikgza0-5-0.jpg

Code P0113-P0183

DTC P0113 - Intake Air Temperature Circuit High Input. The powertrain control module (PCM) monitors the temperature of the air entering the engine. The PCM supplies a 5 volt reference voltage to the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor. The IAT is a thermistor that varies resistance based on temperature. As the temperature increases, resistance decreases. Low temperature results in a high signal voltage. When the PCM sees a signal voltage higher than 5 volts, it sets this P0113 check engine light code.

DTC P0183 - Fuel Temperature Sensor Circuit High Voltage.

I suggest to check wire connections.

Engine light came on i cant figure out what the problem is

The information below was complied by me, it explains what causes the check engine light to come on and the process of finding the cause.

When the Check Engine light (or Service Engine Soon or small picture of an engine) is turned on, the systems computer control unit (called the PCM) has sensed a fault in the electronic controls of the engine and/or the emission system. When this happens you will seldom feel the car engine run any different. There are about 200 possible system faults (the gas cap is just one of them) that turn the Check Engine light on, to know what has developed a problem you must have the system tested, this is called an OBD2 fault code test, Kragen/Oriley and Autozone parts stores (USA only) do this testing for free.

My engine light comes on in my 2004 hyundai sante fe why

the only way you are going to find the answer to this is to take your vehicle to a retail auto parts store and ask them to hook up a scanner to your OBDII port to read for fault codes-write the codes down and come back on here for answers to your problem(s)-this is done for free at virtually all chain store.

180,000 miles & check engine light is on. Already had vehicle checked.

the check engine light comes on whenever one or more of about 200 faults occur in the electronic engine or emmision controls, the only way to determine which system is causeing the problem is to have the system computer tested for the trouble code(s) that is stored when the light is turned on by the computer, which is known as the PCM

Service soon engine light is on and it wont go off.

Did you have the computer checked to see what code or codes come up? If not and you have an Advanced Auto store near by they check computer codes for free. They hook up their code reader and it shows the code or codes and lists what the code means.

2001 kia rio check engine light is on and car seems to be running fine. has been on for aboutr 3 days cant figure out why?

Go to a auto parts store like Kragen/Napa/Chief's/Pep Boys/Auto Zone and have the codes read. Your car's "brain" is trying to tell you something.

Those places will read it for free by the way.
