Your starting problem may be battery charge level. Take buy a auto parts store, most will measure the battery charge condition and may recommend a new battery, They will also measure the status of the charging system, which if not adequate, will contribute to the poor battery charge and starting problem. If the battery condition is good or very good, you may have a Starter solenoid or starter and solenoid problem.

Remote control has stopped working. Have tried changing the battery of the remote control but that did not work.

Does the red light on the remote light up when you push any of the button
if no, replace remote
if yes, then try repograming the remote to the car again.
-Have remotes' ready. if you have two then fob#1 and fob#2 (doesn't matter which one is #1 or #2)
-each step has to be done within 5 sec or it will not work, but don't do it super fast.
1.turn key just to the "on" position (not starting) and push "lock button " on fob#1 once and release
2.turn key off
3.turn key just to the "on" position (not starting)and push "lock button " on fob#1 once and release
4.turn key off
5.turn key just to the "on" position (not starting)and push "lock button " on fob#1 once and release
6turn key off
7.turn key just to the "on" position (not starting) and push "lock button " on fob#1 twice (if you only have one fob, then stop here and go to step 8)and push the "lock button" on fob#2 twice.
8.turn key off and remove key from ignition.
if you did it right, remotes' should work again.
good luck

My car hyundai elantra 1998 stopped while running , i towed the car to the house & tried to start , it started in 1st self & stopped again after 5 minutes. then I changed oxygen sensor &...

It might have something to do with your mass/air sensor located on the intake tube. Try cleaning the mass air sensor with the appropriate cleaner and also try cleaning the throttle body with carb cleaner.

Car wont start evern with new battery

Most likely it is your alternator and that would need to be replaced. I will give the website on how to remove and install the alternator, but I need to know the Model of your Mercedes-Benz.

Thank you for using Fix Ya.
