P0733 definition is incorrect 3rd gear ratio. when this code comes on or any CK engine light. ABS, TRAC,( if equipt) are disabled, You mainly have a transmission failure. Your solution is a good transmission.

SOURCE: 1998 528i Driver seat adjustment & steering

I had that problem. I have a 1997 528i, the plug on the side of the drivers seat under the plastic panel came unplugged. I had to just simply plug it back in, steering wheel adjusted and seat moved too. Maybe this is your problem too.

SOURCE: My ABS light came on and 20 miles later after

You will need to get it diagnosed to see which wheel sensor is bad.

If both the abs and the brake light are on on the speedo dont work them the module is bad.

Also make sure the tire pressures are the same

You don't install parts in an attempt to fix,
you use the codes & factory diagnostic manuals

Abs/vsc/trc lights on in lexus 99' gs 300--faulty codes c1233 1256 1254 1253 1252 1251 12410200 & 0236 --is this costly to get fixed?

I looked at a few of the codes, my suggestion would be to clear the codes and see how many come back a second time.
Most are for parts in the ABS system, I doubt all of them are faulty at the same time. Could be a wiring problem or something with the ABS module.

ABS light

The ABS like the rest of the truck is a system

You need to get the codes & diagnose from there,
the same as any time you get a malfunction lamp lite

If your asking what is common & fairly easy to fix,a
wheel speed sensor, but you don't throw parts at a code,
that isn't why come up

My ABS/Brake light in dashboard is on .

I didn't have that issue,but I had a 1992 dakota with
rear abs only & I just unplugged the module under the dash

I'm all for diagnosing everything & having it factory stock & working

But you don't need abs on a 4x4 that old & the rear hydraulic
abs unit ,gets so rusty that it is sad.

If you ever replace rusted brake tubing, remove it

They don't check that in inspection

ABS/Traction and Turn Signal issue.

bad wheel speed sensor or wiring to it open or shorted. just fixed same ABS & Traction Control problem on my 2001 Chevy. No matter make or model the systems are pretty much the same.

ABS and TC work together, a problem with either one of these will set both lights.

If you can get a ACTRON Code reader 9185 it will read Gobal and ABS codes. Don't know if your local auto parts store will be able to read ABS codes for you. I repaired mine for $140.00 no more problems - take it to a dealer and you will be looking at $800.00 plus.

good luck

It has the ABS light on

The best idea is to access the ABS ECU (Electronic Control Unit) using diagnostic equipment (VAS, VAG-Com, or similar) connected to the data link connector of the car, in order to pull out all DTC's (Diagnostic Trouble Code) memored. Then you will be able to replace bad piece(s) and fix the problem by erasing all DTC's stocked inside ABS ECU & reset it.
Check & replace if necessary the brake pedal switch placed above pedals on the support.

Good Luck!

I have a 2001 vovlo s80 with the codes p1618 p0705 po733 how can i fix

PO705 is Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Malfunction. PO733 is Incorrect 3rd Gear Ration Information. P1618 means that the ECU and the TCM are not communicating properly. PO705 & PO733 can be related to P1618. Check the wiring going to the transmission. Look for a pinched wire from the car being put on a rack or possibly an accident you may have had recently. If you can find no problems with the wiring or connections then it is time to see a professional transmission expert. It may just be that the transmission has an internal problem.

Code Reads PO733 & PO734, car runs great but these two codes show up when I check it out on my scanner. Any help or advice?

po733- gear 3 ratio incorrect, po734- gear 4 ratio incorrect. this is how to fix. You can try replacing the shift solenoids inside the transmission as long as the trans fluid is nice and clean looking. If the trans fluid is dark or burnt looking, it time for a new tranny
