Originally the diagram was on a sticker somewhere in the engine compartment or on the underside of the hood, if that is gone, try the auto parts place where the belt was purchased, they may be able to help. A Ford dealership may be kind enough to provide a diagram also.

SOURCE: serpentine belt diagram:

The belt routing diagram is located on the top radiator cross member by the hood latch. You should see it when you open the hood. If it is not there, all Chrysler, Dodge, and Plymouth minivans, from 1993 to at least 1999, used the same 3.3L engine setup, so find someone with one and look for the diagram where I described.

The belt installation diagram is under the hood, look on the shock tower or over the radiator next to the Federal emissions certification sticker.

If a power steering pump locks up does it have to be replaced?

the power steering pump locking up is the reason ur serpentine belt broke. on front of power steering pump is a pulley which must spin freely. when this pulley locks up, things break...and yes u definitely need a new power steering pump.

Serpentine belt has some cracks

any cracked belt should be replaced. the timing belt drives the cam shaft while the serpentine drives the power steering pump, alternator, water pump, air conditioner compressor, etc. if it breaks in the middle of nowhere, car will get hot real fast and become very hard to steer as you try and find somewhere to pull over. it will also be in the night and adverse weather. so replace it now when it is convenient.

When my serpentine belt broke three times the problem was diagnosed as the power steering pump. Why wasn't this diagnosed when the tensioner was replaced. I am now replacing the power steering pump and...

That is a valid question, but you should ask the shop that worked on it. Also do you know that the power steering pump will cure the problem? This remains to be seen....You can check one thing though...Look at the belt/pulley arrangement from the side. any pulley that is not exactly in line with all others, and any wobbling pulley is suspect. Serpentine belts are far less forgiving of these items than were "v" belts.
Good luck

Power steering pump

your serpentine drive belt could be slipping over your power steering pump. Sounds like a premature failure from your pump. This is not an easy fix depending on the location of the pump itself. Remove your serpentine belt, locate the pump and pulley. Try to spin the pulley by hand. If there is alot of tension, your pump may need replacing. If not, try replacing the belt and check your belt tensioner for looseness.
