I have a 1997 chevy c1500 p.u. and i would like to know the psi to recharge my ac unit?

Located on right hand side of block (pass side). It is between motor mount and starter.

can be the distributor or maybe the fuel pump let the truck sit and then turn key almost on but not enough to initiate start up and see if you hear pump in the gas tank and if thats not it, it could very well be your distributor it might  be moist in the cap or button area

hello dsouris: Locate the A/C accumulator on the left inner fender well. This will be a round aluminum cylinder with two lines coming out of it. Follow the large line that runs back to the firewall. You should see a shadder valve in this line. This will be the suction line or low side line. This will be the line used to charge the A/C system. If you need further help please just ask. sounds like the airbox doors are not working these are located behind the dash passengers side, a chiltons manual availible at most parts stores for around $25 will give you diagrams and steps to access this area if u need that help

The thermostat controls are a recalled part. Many of them shorted quikly. If you get a used one, of course it will have the same problem. If your wiring has not been damaged the you just need to buy the updated standard thermostat controls from a dealer.
