Hello, You've already answered my question. I'd like to thank you for your quick response. I will have to let you know that the diagrams/photos for assisting in the instructions did not come thru. Why I don't know. I do know that it would have made things a lot easier/clearer. Once again, I'd like to thank you for your assistance with my question. Fred (Derfwfred)

Needs to be done at a shop as an alignment is required afterwards

The problem is that the springs have to be compressed. Its a dangerous job to do yourself for obvious reasons. I'm pretty sure you could rent a spring compressor from an auto parts store. The strut assembly is attached to the tie rod ends. You will need an alignment for sure.
Personally, I'd be hesitant to do it for those reasons. I'd say if you do it, please be careful that those springs are compressed properly and that you get that alignment after.

GET A SERVICE MANUAL !!! You'll need a spring compressuer. You can do it but, use care. And use a manual. If not done right you could be injured.

You're either looking at a short in the wire that goes to the fuel sender, or a bad fuel sender. If it was just a broken wire, it would read empty instead. The fuel sender is a permanent part of the fuel pump, so that has to be replaced as a unit.
