SOURCE: locked my keys inside, can't find a door diagram online

A slim Jim is a fishing expedition. What you need to do is not worry about diagrams. Realize that the locking mechanism has just a very few parts that interconnect. The key hole where you insert your key, and the lock button that go up and down (or in some cases forward and back) are mechanically connected. It's that connection your fishing for and trying to move. You need to 'fish' between the lock and the button and try and 'hook' that linkage and move it in the dirction that moves your lock button to the unlocked position. If you really need a diagram many of the car part web sites will display a diagram for car parts. I've unlocked alot of doors with the method described and have never seen a diagram for what I'm doing. Good luck!

SOURCE: PASS LOCK ON 1999 PONTIAC SUNFIRE

you need to get rid of passlock or spend a lot of money in the new cylinder and key that only a dealer would make. There is a detailed write-up for bypassing passlock here: http://newrockies.ca . The guy is great, and this was the only way I was able to save my Park Avenue.

I have 2003 Pontiac sunfire it is stuck in park-is there a reset button---there have been no fluid leaks

Usually the problem is the brake switch or the shift lock solenoid. You may be able to take the shifter out of park by trying it before you turn the key to the on position.
Check your owners manual to see if there is an emergency release.

Does my 2003 pontiac sunfire ecotec motor have a cam sensor? Where is it? If it starts as soon as u give it gas it cuts out. I've replaced: fuel pump, fuel filter, coil pk, spark plugs, crank sensor,...

there is still more to check. like the mass air flow sensor, the whole fuel line cleanout, and if its an auto it does have a camshaft sensor. its located into the transmission.

Pass Lock sensor is preventing the car from starting. You need to override it. I used a remote start module. Having this installed bypasses the pass lock sensor.

PROGRAMMING A REMOTE FOR A 97 SUNFIRE GT

I might be able to help this one is testing my memory, There may be a small clip on the inside of the glove box on the right hand side this is holding the connector that has to be jumped . connect the 2 leads with a jumper wire and the door locks should cycle up and down ..without letting the wires go push one of the remote buttons and they will cycle again, do the same with the other remote and then release the jumper wire and they should work..the other popular spot for therse connectors is under the side trunk carpet beside the radio antenna hope I was a help and hope the connector locations were right..also some remotes require what they call syncronization ..Hold both lock and unlock buttons on the remote at the same time untill door locks cycle up and down..this could take as long as 20 seconds..do this on both remotes.. good luck..
