WE BOUGHT OUR CAMRY WITH 16000 MILES ON IT. THE PASSENGER FRONT DOOR RATTLED. ABOUT A YEAR AGO THE DRIVER'S SIDE FRONT DOOR STARTED RATTLEING TOO. THE RATTLE COMES FROM THE INSIDE OF THE DOORS. IT IS THE SAME RATTLE FOR BOTH DOORS. I THOUGH, OUR CAR CAN'T BE THE ONLY 2005 CAMRY THAT HAS THIS PROBLEM. I THOUGHT THERE MAY HAVE BEEN A PROBLEM WITH OTHER CAMRYS THE SAME AS OURS. IT WOULD BE NICE IF THERE WAS A KNOWN HISTORY BY NOW AND MAYBE THEY KNOW WHERE THE RATTLES COMES FROM IN THESE DOORS AND WE WOULD HAVE A BETTER CHANCE OF HAVING THEM FIXED.......

This sounds like your ignition timing is awry. You'll need a timing light to verify if this is correct. If that's OK the your valve clearances may be a little loose.

I agree with Toyota Ed, you may be experiencing 'pinking' or pre ignition which can be caused by a number of things such as:
1. Poor quality fuel
2. Wrong grade of fuel ( stop using 87 and try 89 to see if the problem stops)
3.Faulty ignition timing.
4.Air leak causing the fuel mixture to run lean (weak)
5.Headgasket starting to fail, water is turning to steam and is escaping into one or more cylinders which again make the fuel mixture lean (weak)
My advice is first check you are not loosing any water/coolant and that there are no **** vacuum/air lines.

A couple of ideas to try and track down the 'lovely' (annoying?) noise. With the car off, engine cold, jack up the front end, for safety block rear tires front and back, support front with safety stands, have your bf crawl under (skip safety stuff if you want a new bf), have him check the exhaust in the area the noise seems to come from, even giving GENTLE taps with a hammer to see if anything sounds loose, or vibrates, etc. Also grab onto exhaust pipe and give it a good shake. If exhaust appears not to be the problem, get the car back on the ground , start up and CAREFULLY with a long screwdriver (watch out for all those moving parts,, spinning belts, etc) place the tip on the different engine components (water pump, power steering pump,etc) then place your ear against the plastic handle of the screwdriver. You will look a bit foolish, but you can hear the bearings spinning in the different components, and may be able to track down the lovely noise this way. Not a very detailed description, but assuming the rattle is in front it may be bad shocks. A quick test would be to push down hard on the left fron of the car and let go, if the car springs back up and just stays there the shock is fine but if it comes up and dips down once again the shock is bad, it should come straight back up and stay there. Repeat on the other side.
If it were a knocking noise it would possibly be a ball joint.
