While pressing the trip meter reset button, set the engine switch to IG-ON mode. Continue to press and hold the knob until the trip meter displays 000000.
Touch the desired button Delete All : To cancel all conditions which have been input. Reset All : To reset the item which has satisfied a condition. If "ON" is selected, the system gives maintenance information with the "Information" screen when the system is turned on. If "OFF" is selected, the "Information" screen is disabled.
Input the conditions. Notice of Date : The next maintenance date can be input. Notice of Distance : The driving distance until the next maintenance check can be input. "Delete" : To cancel the date and distance conditions. "Reset" : To reset the date and distance conditions.
Touch "OK" The screen returns to the "Maintenance screen.
You could take the car to a dealer(Ali Bhai Motors in Karachi) who has the software disc to reinstall. I had a some what similar problem when I was changing the battery and the screen died
This is how you do it make sure the trip has the odometer showing, not the Trip A or B.
Reset the system by the following procedure: 1. Turn the ignition key to the “LOCK” position with the odometer reading shown. 2. Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position while holding down the “ODO/TRIP” button. Hold down the button for at least 5 seconds. The odometer indicates “000000” and the light goes off. If the system fails to reset, the light will continue flashing. I have used this in every RX330 i have ever done. will not work if trip a or b is showing though
Installing the DVD Map Disc
Your dealer/retailer may have installed the map DVD. If the map DVD was not installed, do the following to load it:
Read the following steps completely.
Turn the ignition on. The vehicle must be in P (Park) to perform this operation.
Press (power) to turn the navigation system on.
Press the NAV hard key.
Touch the Insert Map Disc screen button. The screen opens to access the map DVD slot.
Load the map DVD partway into the slot. The system pulls it in.
The screen cannot be closed until a double beep is heard. Notice: Pressing directly on the navigation screen may cause damage. Repairs would not be covered by the vehicle's warranty. Do not press directly on the navigation screen.
To close the screen, slightly push up on the two outer corners until the screen is in position. Then push the screen in by pushing on the four outer corners until a click is heard.
Set the search area. See "Setting the Search Area" earlier in this section.
Ejecting the DVD Map Disc
The navigation portion of the system cannot be used if the DVD map disc is not loaded.
Press the MENU key to enter the Menu options, then press the MENU key repeatedly until Nav is selected or touch the Nav screen button.
Touch the Map Database Information screen button.
Touch the Eject Map Disc screen button. The screen tilts, exposing the map DVD slot.
Press the eject button, located next to the DVD map disc slot, and the disc ejects. Pull the disc out.
