Replaced fuel pump 30Kmiles ago. Was a big job, as I had to remove the tank. Now it "seems" to have the same problem. No start. But it is not the ignition system. Tries to start when injecting starter fluid in air manifold. Question: What is easiest way to check for bad fuel pump or bad filter or relay? AND, is there a way to replace the pump or filter w/o removing the tank???
Hi sometimes on most cars if lift up the back seat ther usually the pump unit on the top of the tank with two pipes coming out of it .if ypu can find the relay for the fuel pump connect the terminals 30 to 87 together you should hear the fuel pump run.alternitavely check the power to the fuel pump with a multimeter you should get 12 volt when trying to start also check for broken wirig to pump.
