As soon as I put the vehicle in drive, the ABS light, traction off light and service taction system lights all come on. Also, the check engine light has been on for quite some time, but the car seems to run fine.

I had the same problem. I took off the tires and look at the wires, and both of the wires to the hub were broke. 10 min and some tape and problem was fixed.

My Trac Off light came on when I had to use the spear to get to a gas station...maybe need to take it back and have them verify that they connected the sensor cable properly.(or didn't break some thing else(wire or sensor)) Also have them check the alignment...may be a little out.

What causes the ABS, Traction Control, All Wheel Drive and Traction Control Warning lights to stay on all of the time on a 2008 Saturn Vue?

How many miles are on the vehicle since the last time the brakes were serviced? Are the brakes squealing? Are the rotors worn out of tolerance, brake pads shot, etc.?

What is the condition of the wheel bearings? Do you experience any "chatter" or slop in the front end when braking or driving? Jack the front end off the ground. Grab tire at 12 & 6 O-Clock and alternate pushing and pulling. Do the same at 3 & 9. Do you feel clunking or any play at all? If yes, then the sensors can often pick this up and interpret it as a loss of traction. Wheel bearings will need to be replaced, and potentially tie rod ends, and/or ball joints.

ABS brake sensors can be loose, bad, have broken wires, or simply "gunked" up with grease, oils and brake dust. If they can't read the tone ring, the result will be an ABS fault to the computer. Inspect integrity and/or try cleaning completely.

ABS Tone Ring could have broken or missing cogs/teeth. Although a bit more rare, this can happen if you have not properly maintained wheel bearings, tie rod ends, ball joints, etc., and/or have hit large rocks or pot holes while driving.

Once these items are inspected, then you'll need to take your vehicle to a service center to have the faults reset.

My traction control, brake, and check engine light are all on. I also had a plug wire burned in half. I checked all the fuses and all were good plus changed wires. The light are still on and the dinger is...

The plug wire & the ABS should not be related in any way. Unless when the plug wire burned in half the spark that could no longer get to the plug jumped to the ABS module & fried it. Anyway I would replace all plug wires. Then remove the Negative or ground battery cable for 5 min. to reset ABS module. Then reconnect the battery cable & give it a try. if the trac. or brake lights come back on you most likely have a bad ABS module & that's a very costly fix. Good Luck.

Traction control night and brake light on 2008 trailblazer

First, check to see if your ABS and your TCS fuses are good. A lot of times, if both lights come on, it senses a failure in the braking system. Your vehicle will disable the abs if it finds a problem in the braking system, hence the red brake light/hand brake light coming on in the dash. Get a code scanner that also reads the abs module. You could have a bad wheel sensor, which is tied to your TCS and your ABS system. Either that, or you ABS module could be bad.

AWD Disable light on 2001 Pontiac Aztec- how do I get if off?

Whenever this warning light or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating that the systems control module (or the system sensor in the case of lights like low oil pressure, door open indicators etc.) has detected a fault, it then disables the system (this applies to ABS,TCS, TCM, SRS and BCM faults and others) as long as the light is on. You must now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and "scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for the problem(s)

Legend of Abbreviations. ABS Antilock brake system.TCS Traction control system, TCM Transmission control module, SRS Supplemental restraint system, BCM Body control module

I have been having front end problems, I was told both wheel hubs are bad and 1 outer tie rod, also that sway bar bushings are bad. I have been driving as little as possible til I can get fixed but tonight...

Sounds like you may have a symptom known as overactive ABS. What happens is one of the wheel speed signals is dropping out at slow speeds. The ABS is fooled into thinking the wheel has stopped turning even though it has not and activates the ABS system.

This can be caused buy a bad wheel bearing, which it sounds like you are in need of anyways. Start with that and if the [problem persists than you will need to scan the ABS module to see what codes are present.

Abs and traction light are on

you can try to reset the computer with a diagnostic machine but, it seems like the brakes were installed without resetting the abs sensors. if this sensor is not re connected, this will cause your light to come on.

2001 Mercury Grand Marquis brake and ABS dash lights on and off

The red brake light is the key here. That usually indicateds a hydraulic problem. Check you fluid level in master cylinder and see if it is low. Also the level indicator sensor there in the master cylinder maybe sticking or corrioded. If ABS sees the red brake light it will shut off and turn on the ABS light, also traction control would be disabled as well.

2003 Chevy Impala Service Traction Sytem show on Dash

I can't answer the question about the gas fumes, but I had the same problem last year with the "Service Traction Sysytem" message and the Trac and ABS lights coming on in my Impala. Mine turned out to be because of a bad wheel bearing, that was causing the ABS and traction system not to work. I'm not sure if you've experienced this, but another thing that would happen with mine was that I would go to brake and have a hard time depressing the brake pedal, almost like it was pushing back. That is the point when the Trac and ABS lights came on.
