Hi I have a 02 Clio expression that runs fine but occasionally cuts out and won't start until left for about 30 minutes

Probably the air flow meter probably dirty can of comprest air take it off spray it

possible air leak in intake manifold

Sounds a lot like a bad coil. If not that, it could be a bad TPS throttle positioning sensor. I had a bad coil though do the same thing to my car

Try getting your transmission solenoid replaced. After I got mine replaced it ran fine after that. That's the exact same thing my Lumina was doing.

You'll have to figure out if it is a fuel or ignition problem.
Is the check engine light on ? Have you checked for trouble codes ?
It could be a relay, the ignition module, coil, fuel pump, or a list of other things.
You should be able to duplicate the problem to get it checked out.

bet on the fuel pump and old filter

The fuel pump only comes on for 2 seconds when the ignition switch is turned on until it starts.I would check the fuel pressure it should be 60-66 psi with key on engine off.Sounds like a weak fuel pump to me you'll know once you check the pressure.If its not within specs replace pump.

fuel pressure? is it manual or electric turn on, on the diesel pump if electric faulty or loose connection to cut off solenoid?
