Brake lights Hi, I have a 87 Honda prelude. The brake lights stay on as if I was pressing the brakes when the battery is hooked up. What should I do?

Sounds like you need a new brake light switch. It is mounted to the brake pedal assembly.

Cheep fix what i did to my 87 dx rap a thick layer of tin foil tape around that hole on brake arm where there was a plastic stop.This will last untill the brake swich goes. I did this about a year ago works fine

Cheaper than a brake light switch, a common problem is the small plastic pedal stop (white) that gets worn out with use, cost is $2 at a Honda dealership. If it's a 5 speed, save yourself some time and replace this same item on the clutch petal (which shuts down the cruise control when the pedal is depressed)
