Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

To confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required.

SOURCE: i got 1995 nissan maxima

The knock sensor error could be the sensor, sensor circuit, or some misfire caused by a dirty/bad injector or some ignition problem.

One issue that might tie it all together is coolant leak causing the misfire/knock like a head gasket, but I think you would be throwing more codes or you would see more problems than what you have.

SOURCE: location of a o2 sensor 2001 nissan maxima

bank 1 refers to the side of the engine that #1 cylinder is on , and sensor 2 refers to downstream , after the catalytic converter. , this link shows bank 1 on a 2001 nissan maxima V6 being on the firewall side . if you had a 4 cylinder it would be downstream after the catalytic converter .

SOURCE: nissan 1995 maxima keeps stopping

I had a similiar problem with my 95 maxima. It turned out to be a bad MAF sensor. Check it out and make sure the sensor is not dirty. you can try cleaning it with a MAF sensor spray. I replace my with one from the junkyard.

Primary ignition fault. Reasons: Bad distributor cap (most likely) or ignition control module/ignition coil.
Hope that helps

Cpk sensor ( crank position sensor)

could be cam or crank but more like crank sensor with no start. cam sensor fail engine can start and run in limp mode but crank it will not. but you should still have engine management light on. also there will be codes stored on ecu you can read to find a fault.

No voltage on crank sensor grand am 2001 2.4

The crank and cam sensors produce ac voltage that is sent to the computer. There are magnets or components on the crank and cam that the sensors "read".
The problem could be the harness between the sensors and the computer, or a mechanical problem like a timing chain or gear.

No start Had Codes p0340 & p0345 both are cmp sensors. Replace both and still no start has no injector pulse and spark.

The crankshaft position sensor works in tandem with the camshaft ones, and they sometimes fail together. I've seen it written that the crankshaft one should be changed WITH the cam ones. They're kinda expensive, but the no spark/injection thing suggests that may be your issue. <!-- from fixya rte -->

2006 Maxima Hard Start When Hot

Is there a check engine light? Even if not, your oxygen flow sensor may be sometimes malfunctioning. Use an OBD-II diagnostic tool to see if you have any readings or error codes. You can borrow one from a friend or some auto parts shops will run that through for you - just give some a call and ask.

Can a cam sensor cause a hard start

Yes, cam sensor can cause a hard starting condition, but not that common on a 2000 maxima. I haven't replaced single one on a 2000 Max and I have one also (maxima that is) . Never had any problem with cam or crank sensors. I think that your problem is somewhere else, like IAC valve circuit. Just a tip. Its kinda hard to diagnose something over the computer, without Consult2 (Nissan scanner) beeing hooked up to the car and seeing what the car is doing while cranking for my self.

is the check engine light on?? i would suspect your crank angle sensor. replace the cam sensors too. nissan had problem(there is a campaign) with those, so they came out with a crank and cam sensor kits. get the kit ( at a dealer ) and install it. actually have your nissan dealer run your VIN number to see if you don't have open campaign for it, if so, they will replace them for FREE. But that's what I would be looking at if one of those came to me to fix.
