Has the fuel pressure been tested? Have you ever replaced the MAF sensor in the air intake hose to the engine? DO you have a check engine light on?

When the car has the crank/no start, at that point see which is missing. Test for fuel and spark. I think it has to do with fuel, a tired fuel pump or relay. But remember to check the oil sending unit. If it fails it will shut down the fuel system.

Hello, Check the distributor, remove cap and see what the rotor looks like, it may have worn through,into the distributor cap from the inside. It could also be the module and or the coil. Wish I could give you a better way to go but its where I would start first.

you can replace battery with out effects.first turn off radio.before removing negative battery cable.when you install new battery, when you start the engine let it idle until get operating temperature.the computer will have to relearn it memory while engine idling operating temperature.open throttle a little see if engine hesitate. it will hesitate some, when you can accelerate with out hesitation,engine tps sensor has relearned it position.if idle speed stable engine dont run rough and stall out in drive your pcm has relearned itself where you can drive it.

Yes I think you are. Try Firestone or Midas. Firestone changes out ALL of the fluid and not just 25%. 167K miles may be a lot to some people but it is not to a car taken good care of. Remember Cadillac is top of the line for USA vehicles and has higher tolerances.

You probably also have a sweet smell when the fog comes out. This means the heater core is leaking and needs to be replaced. Hope this helps.

There may or may not be problems with your transmission from being low on fluid. I would look for a leak as the fluid had to go somewhere.
