Look closely at the valve cover there should be a cap that seas oil.

SOURCE: type of oil for 94 v6 3.0 toyota 4x4

Your truck is going to take about 5.5 quarts.
Since your motor have some high miles on it, I would use non-synthetic 10w-30 oil that has the high mileage formula.
Synthetic will cause leaks on an old engine because the molecules are smaller and will go through gaskets easily.
High mileage formula will help recondition the gaskets.

the oil should be black, brown or gold(new) with no other colors in it. shouldnt be milky or streaky. the trans fluid should be light red or semi light red.as for the engine being oily its hard to discern unless you rinse it off to metal and drive it. if you mean the oil pan has black oil on it then it may be ok.

SOURCE: 1992 Toyota Previa van,Oil dripping onto exhaust manifold, replace head gasket? need a free manual!

The toyota previa uses a formed silicone gasket for the valve cover and the cover is held in place by metric shoulder bolts ( 10mm). The valve gasket leaks because you can't get enough preload on the bolts to re-seat the old gasket when it gets old and shrinks. The shoulder bolts only allow you to tighten the gasket enough to seat the shoulder on the bolt. If you continue to torque down the suspected bolts, you will snap the bolt off ( don't ask me how I know this ). You can either 1.)replace the old gasket with a new one or 2.) remove the existing bolts around the leak area and put in new metric bolts that do not have a shoulder. You may want to put in a small sleeve into the existing bolt hole but shorter than the thickness of the valve cover to account for the smaller diameter bolt. You can now torque down the bolt and get enough preload to seal the valve cover without removing the old gasket. Make sure you use a torque wrench ( in-lbs) or be very careful not to snap these small valve cover bolts.

Hello, I have a toyota previa 94, How the reservoir oil tank works, this appears to have no function, The level does not change. The engine has an oil leak but the reservoir level remains the same while...

the oil is filled and checked by lifting passenger seat and hatch. The under bonnet reservoir tops up oil as required to ensure all the oil ways are filled. This ensures the top end of the engine does not run dry. If all is well then you will rarely ever top this up.
Try and determine where the oil leak is coming from and keep an eye on the oil level in the sump (under passenger chair)

I have a toyota previa 1991 model I would like to know where the dlc connector is located

if you mean "code reader plug" (sorry not much of a car guy, just know what MY '91 has taught me) is under the drivers seat. there is a lever to lean the seat (whole seat, not just back) back. this is where you add oil, check oil and trans fluid. the code reader plug is the grey box thingy nearest the door.
Hope that helped

Warning light

the red light indicates low oil pressure, check your oil and add as necessary, if it still comes on you have some type of restriction in an oil passage somewhere. the reason it only comes on when turning is because when turning the fluid level shifts in the oil pan and if it is low it is moving past the pick-up tubeand you only pumping air
