Noticed this could be a drain hole problem design fault in sun roof with all Ford Escapes from online emails - I cleared both drain holes yet in storm water still seeping from somewhere inside door edge as not coming from sun roof - my mechanic is at a lost to figure it out when took it in ;( Now carpets getting ruined and stink!
Check drains in bulkhead ,,,,, panel under windscreen ,,, open bonnet and make sure 2 drains are clear

It may be a circuit breaker.My windows and door locks stopped working,even after checking all fuses and replacing Main Driver side door switch! Found three circuit breakers that you can reset with a paper clip or small screwdriver. They were black with an aluminum cover on top. They don't come out easily,just insert the pin on each one.

Do you have a sunroof?? you are probably leaking at your sunroof if you have one... sometimes the seals just wear out it is a common problem... you can go into a shop and ask if they can take a smoke machine to it and see if they can find it...

caution if it opens you may not be able to close it again, this sounds like the track broke or something in the motor. lets hope its the motor as if its the track then the whole track needs to be replaced, there is no repairing a broken sunroof track.
