1992 jeep engine problem

Hello Mikey,
Thank You for respond. It is very difficult to define from where sound come. Top or bottom. For shure, it is louder at right side of engine. The cranck and rod bearings are instaled new. Also, no problem with loosing oil presure. It is constant. I forgot to tell, the "diesel" sound it's lost over 2000 rpm. And also, intensity of "diesel" sound is the same for this 2 years.

I have a 95 Jeep Cherokee 6 Cylinder. Every since Saturday the truck has been having problems… it wont crank. The lights and on radio come on but it jus wont turn over. Friday night I drove the car parked it Saturday night came and tried to crank it but it wouldn’t start Sunday we got up and thought it needed a jump still nothing. A mechanic came looked at it and changed some round looking disk in the starter and the router belt still nothing (after checking fuses and other things) Monday he put in a new distributor cap and still nothing. Later Monday night we got home and just out of curiosity tried to crank the car and it started right up. Tuesday drove it to school and after school it again wouldn’t start back up. Please Help Me….

1992 jeep cherokee briarwood inline 6 4.0 4x4 need timing specs.

The ignition timing is non adjustable on your engine. Timing is totally controlled by the engine computer, responding to signals gathered from the engine sensors.

My jeep is making a really loud sound like an exhaust leak it's coming from the front end of the engine can anyone help

I would have the exhaust manifold inspected, a lot of times it cracks where the pipes connect. I am assuming you have a 4.0L. Then you would just need to change the manifold to fix the problem.
Thank you,
Lee

Just need to know what the torque specs are for 3.0 toyota 1992

This is for the 3VZ-E SOHC 12V engine, 2959cc catalytic. Sure its the same engine as in the pickup.----------
Stage 1 - 34nm--------- stage 2 - tighten by 90 degrees-------- stage 3 - tighten by 90 degrees-------- -------
the sequence is, with flywheel on your right, looking down on the engine...
--top row of bolts on top bank - top Left to top right bolts 1,2,3,4----------------- bottom row of bolts, on top bank - bottom left to bottom right bolts 3,4,5,6.------------ Top row of bolts on Bottom bank bolts 1,2,3,4------------- bottom row of bolts on bottom bank bolts 5,6,7,8------------ sequence is (top bank) 7,2,6,3,5,4,1,8-------- --------(bottom bank) 2,7,3,6,4,5,8--------
Hopefully this comes out tidy on the other end.

Located a chilton for 1998 jeep will it work for 1992 jeep cherokee. need to replace the alternator

Depends on which engine you have. If it is a 4.0L it should change out the same. This one must be removed from the bottom of the vehicle. Pay particular attention to the belt loosening technique in the maual which adjusts with the power steering pump.

1992 jeep engine problem

The oil clearance for a rod bearing was probably not done correctly allowing excess slapping. Check by unplugging your sparkplugs one at a time to see if the noise goes away. If it does, then the corresponding rod bearing is probably the cause. Check utube for videos of rod bearing noises and see if yours sound like those. That's how I found out my rod bearing was bad.

1992 jeep engine problem

When you say new parts, does that mean cranck bearings and rod bearings?
Is the noise from the top or bottom?
Top noise could be lifters or rocker arms.
Bottom noise could be crank or rod bearings.
Oil pressure?
