Just had a mechanic replace front brakes he said the pads and rotors were worn so we had them replaced . still had the same problem so we had them replaced with new rotors and ceramic pads after that still has the same problem . what else could it be????? thanks for your help in advance...
SOURCE: Brakes
I would take it to the dealer because of unusual brake pad wear.brake pads under normal wear are not covered usually. But if the outside pad wore down to metal and the inside is ok that is a caliper sticking causing a drag of the outer pad to the rotor.

It is hard to tell until inspect front and rear. I would buy front and rear parts to get parts in hand ready. Usually, when change the pad, the rotor (brake disc) needs to be resurfaced, if you see the concentric lines. I used to buy rotors and change together with the pads. Then take the old rotors out for resurfacing ($15 each) so they can be in the next pad change. Ceramic pads with shims ate better.

first port of call is to return to the guy who said all was ok
on the rear brakes of a sorento there are brake pads for your service/foot brake, but the handbrake works on a sepperate system. there are brake shoes within the rear brake discs which are solely for the parking brake... have these been overtightened ar just full of dust, my advice is to take it back, if no joy then try someone who knows about this system
any advice i can help with then ask.
regards
roger
SOURCE: brakes pulsing on a 2005
The pulse is due to thickness variation of the rotors, have to have them machined to even 'em back up.Getting hard to find a shop that will do that, because replacement rotors are so cheap, but it's better to get 'em machined .They will stay true longer
