I just took the dash off around the radio and climate controls, called the dealership, read the serial numbers to the service guy that answered the phone and he gave me a code to put in and gave me some advice about how to enter the code properly and then the radio started playing...If the service tech does not tell you how to properly put the code in then make sure you ask him about it. These radios are a little tricky but nothing difficult IF you know how to do it. so ask if they don't readily tell you.
If the code is not there, you will have to take it to a dealer, they will have to pull the dash off and locate the code. My dealer charged 75 for this.
Look in your glovebox and see if you have one of these cards. they come with every new mitsubishi.
if not you'll need to pull out the radio and take it to the service department at your local mitsubishi dealership. they will enter the serial number off the sticker on radio into their computer and give you the unlock code.
