Creepy flashing lights

I have 1996 Grand Cherokee and when I make hard left turns my interior lights flash on and off. Also my sun roof just stop working. Any suggestions?

Check the adjustment of the rear hatch. As you turn the car body flexes and if the rear hatch is not adjusted correctly the interior lights will come on.
As for the sunroof, without proper diagnose I can only guess (motor, relay, fuse ).

My guess would be a problem with the turn signal switch.
Unless there is a short in one of the bulb sockets and the parking lights are flashing too.

04JeepGrdCher:Interior lights stay on and power windows dont work

I had this same problem but no sunroof on mine. there is a bundle of wires that goes into the door and if the power wire breaks and the power window lockout was pushed when it happens no windows work and the dome lights stay on on mine it happened on the drivers side it was an easy fix i took the door panel off and unpluged the harnes and pulled it through the inside of the jeep and spliced the wire back together and it has been working since.

this is more than likely the case rplacing the sunroof motor very detailed and roof linig removal required also good idea to replace cables, repair is not cheap

Hi, there is no green button, i just bought the same vehicle,and i programed my entrance gate to the home link and worked the first time,all i did was hold my remote right up to the home link and pressed the first button and the remote button the same time until the red light flashed rapidly,and it worked just fine, hope that works

Dome lights intermittently flash on and off in a 1996 Jeep

If it has automatic or a domelight that stays on for a while after you shut the door is on a timer relay and that is probably getting bad. As far as the door ajar message there is a switch in the door jam, look and see if you see it. Take wd40 and try to soak the switch try to get it inside the switch.If its incorporated in the door latch spray back inside the door latch real good. Open and close the door several times and see if it works then.

This problem with the wiring (capacitor) or the relay in the car which is causing the problem .
