Put in new battery, starter turns over fine and fast spinning. I tried to pump the gas pedal while trying to start it. I put the pedal to the bottom and held in to see if it would start that way and it didn't. I put in stuff to dry gas from moisture and didn't make a difference.
Does anyone have any ideas? I'm going to try starter fluid tomorrow during the day.
Please respond with any other ideas
First, try to get engine to fire and eliminate the ignition as the problem. While cranking squirt start fluid into intake and see if engine trys to start if it does you will probably need to fix the fuel system as sitting for that long will ruin it due to stale fuel turning corrosive.Pump filter etc and injector cleaner to try to clear gummed up injectors.
If the engine cranks ("rrr-rrr-rrr") when you turn the key, then the problem isn't the starter or the battery.Plan to have at least one person sitting in the driver's seat and one or two persons pushing.Turn off all accessories (radio, wipers, lamps).Turn the key to the "on" position.Depress the clutch pedal with your foot.Put the transmission in first or second gear.Release the hand brake and the foot brake.Note that the people pushing need to get the car rolling as fast as they can. This works best down a hill or an incline.Release the clutch pedal while giving the engine a little gas with the gas pedal once the car is moving about as fast as you can run. The engine should start

All the lights, wipers, etc. work fine.
Also I had a new clutch put in and now only have 4 out of 5 geers. Is there a way to adjust something or do something to get the 5th gear. I won't shift into 5th at all.
Thanks,
Chris
