2000 ford focus I have to keep replacing the coil pk. also I have heat when I am driving but none when sitting. already replaced the therm. and flushed it, replaced lower hose to rad. what is causing...

motorcraft parts are recomended, though after market high end coils would also work, accel,MSD and such, when you replace are you getting them with a new resistor, as this can cause packs to blow also.
as for your heat not blowing check the water pump, sounds as though it may have broken free from drive internally and only when high rpm is creating enough friction to turn the internal fan.

My 2000 ford focus cranks, but does not start. I

You will want to find out if you are not getting spark or not getting fuel.
If no fuel, then bad fuel pump, plugged fuel filter, or bad fuel pressure regulator, or bad fuel pump relay.

If no spark, then bad crank sensor, or ignition module, or coil packs.

Car hard to steer after driving thru puddle. Loss of power steering?

That's caused by the water getting on the P/S drivebelt allowing it to slip till it dries off. If the shields are in place under the front of the engine, then the only thing you can do is to avoid deep water or be ready for the hard steering when you must go through water. It happens to some extent on just about every car.

2001 Ford Focus stopped running while i was driving and wont start. Makes a churning sound but no power is going to engine. I changed the ignition coil, still wont turn on. Any suggestions?

Can you explain more so I can help. What do you mean still wont turn on, engines doesn't start or starter motor doesn't turn. Have u taken out a spark plug and connected it to the cable put the end of the spark plug to a ground and make someone turn on the engine for a few seconds you should see some blue sparks. Carefully use gloves. If no sparks, spark plug is bad next thing to check instead of putting the spark plug in the cable put Philips screwdirver put the screwdriver near a ground not touching about one inch make someone turn the engine for a couple of second you should see the spark jumping from the screwdriver to the ground, If there are no sparks ignition coil or spark plug cables are not good. But u say u changed ignition coil so maybe your cables are not good. There is a connector near the ignition coil disconnect it and turn ignition switch on measure the voltage you should have in between 12vdc + or - .5 vdc if no voltage present there is a blown fuse, Check for it

2000 FORD FOCUS IGNITION REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Your ignition is what supplys your spark pluggs with electricity in order to creat combustion in your engine. Most older cars have distributers, if you drive a focus with a zetec it will have a coil pack. I have a 2002 Focus SVT that I upgraded the ignition system to a full racing system for around $200. What you need to change is the coil pack, spark pluggs and spark plugg wires. You only have to remove about four bolts on the coil pack and it just pulls out.

Check engine light is on and flashes while driving

Flashing means it will let raw gas into cat converter and ruin it. hopefully that didnt happen yet. most times flashing also means ignition failure such as plugs/wires. those tend to go thru ignition coils alot. if you already tried plugs and wires you might think of that. of course a generic code scanner would be ideal to know what code is really coming up but what I offered is most popular fix. Hope I helped. Thanks
