Driver side front end sags and makes noise

When I pull into the garage I can hear this slight "clanging" noise coming from the area around the left front wheel. I can make the sound stop or start by turning the steering wheel slightly. Lately, the left front end of the car kind of sags and isn't at the same level above the wheel as the other tires.

Do you happen to have plastic rim covers? An auto mechanic suggested that these can rub or oscillate in just the right way to make you think you have a permanent rock stuck in your tire treads. It drove me nuts! But sure enough, I removed the rim coves and there was no noise at all. I ended up putting the same ones back on again with double-sided tape (double layered) along the inside rim of the covers and this stopped the noise for some time. Alas, one winter later, I'm hearing noises again. I've pulled them off again this week, but with my black rims underneath, the van looks like some undercover cop car!

Clanging noise rear and rear don't pull

The axle probably lost a keeper ring on the inside of the differential and the pieces may be going through the differential and ring&pinion gearing making the noises you hear. You will need to drain the oil out, find the broken pieces, and inspect all gearing for broken/damaged teeth, and for any noisy bearings. Flush the case out with cleaning solvent. Re-insert the loose axle after cleaning and inspecting it well--especially the interior end. Replace the keeper (new) on the axle end inside the differential spider gearing. Inspect the brakes on the loose axle side for any oil deposits and for any damage that might have been caused when the axle came out. If the differential is badly damaged, it might be cheaper to find another rear end in a wrecking yard. Hope this helps!

Noise from rear suspension on 2003 Honda Odyssey.

a clunking clanging noise sounds very much like your stabilizer bar end links and bushings. you have a thin rear "sway" bar on the rear of your odyssey. this can cause a whole lot of noise. grab each side and pull/push. if it feals loose, replace the end links and bushings.

I have a 1999 blazer. It was making a roaring noise in the front end. Took it to a garage. They replaced the passenger side wheel bearings. This cost around $400.00 for parts and Labor. When I picked the...

Ask them why it wasn't a problem before the work that they did in that area, and if it normally needs replacement because of bearing work done, then why wasn't it done, and why should you pay the labor to pull everything apart again? Call your local parts store or dealer for price on part, so you know what they're charging you for labor. If it's 2 wheel drive, (repairpal.com) gives an estimate of about $75-$100 for labor & $50-$75 for parts.? Something not right here! Have you dealt with these guys before?

I have a whistle or humming noise from the front of 05 Montana.

Put wide tape on different areas of the windshield edge as a test to see if the noise changes. Then you may know where the noise originates and can correct the noise.
Just by chance,it is a wind noise? and not a front wheel bearing going bad?which is common on these vehicles and can create a humming at different speeds.Next time when the hum shows up turn the steering wheel slightly left and right at road speed and if you can change the hum,it's 99% a wheel bearing.

A metallic squeaking sound from the front driver side wheel well

On your brake pads there is a wear indicator tab. This is a metal tab that protrudes just past where the brake lining almost ends. It is there as an indicator that your brake pads are nearing the end of their life cycle and it is time to change them.
