The TDC sensor (aka camshaft position sensor) is located under the same cover as the timing belt. Incidently, the water pump is also driven by the timing belt. The process for replacement of the TDC is not difficult, just involved. Here is a link that I hope you will find helpful; It gives step-by-step instructions with photos on how to change the TDC. This is for a civic, but the setup for the CR-V is essentially the same. If you have high mileage, you will also want to check the condition of the timing belt and water pump while you have everything apart. the water pump runs off of the timing belt. if you have replace a timing belt before on it you can change the water pump once you get the timing belt off. if you havn't changed a timing belt before better to take to a shop as they will have all the right tools to do the job. hope this helps mike

It has a timing belt. Recommended to be replace every 105,000 miles, timing belt also run's your water pump good idea to also replace, your engine is also an INTERFERENCE ENGINE which will damage your cylinder head valve's if timing belt goes bad. Hope this was very helpful.

Honda reccomends timing belt change at 100k. Most Honda dealers like you to change the belt at 90,000 miles (90k). some auto repair places will want to change the belt at 60k but that is not necessary (Note: if in a severe cold or hot climate like florida or canada you would change the belt before 90k or if the belt is over 7 years old.. check for linkage, wires, or hoses not connected

check your oil make sure the crank seal is ok that u didnt spill ur oil and blow it up. then check the timing belt - you may not have had the tension tight enough on the timing belt and it may have skipped a bit causing it to not fire. i think thats the most likely.
