My problem with jetta tdi 2004 i turn key cranking but not start take spray for start spray at hose veris air filter car cranking cuple times at start i must hold gas pedal high rpm after itake off car runs fine but driving cuple miles car stop look like lost fuel tray again same procidure like first time

I had a similar problem and the mechanic diagnosed it as a problem with the ignition coil. So you might want to get that checked.

question? did this problem start right after you had your timing belt kit installed? my 2004 tdi started good until i did my timing belt kit. then it cranks and cranks before starting. just did it 1 week ago with 157000 km . i got some technical advice from a vw tech and he said that there is adjustment on the cam sproket that very rarely he has to adjust with a new belt but it does happen time to time. if it is even out a 1/2 degree it is almost impossible to start???? i still have to do mine but i hope it works. i also got a engine code "cold start" . be very carefull not to bend valves. my timing belt is insalled in proper time "by the number of teeth" but it needs the fine calibration on the cam spoket. i think you need the proper tools to do this but i will find out. email me on how you make out or with some advice for me if you find i am on the wrong track. please tell me what you do to fix the problem. if this happened after a timing kit that is most certian what the problem is. thanks gc
