I have a 2001 nissan sentra, the problem behan with misfiring and the car stopping and no pickup while in speed. The mechanic said 1)problem with alternater and battery and asked me to change, then said problem with coil after than says problem with injector. 2) comes up with the problem of computer box system what am i supposed to do?
Is this " mechanic" not diagnosing and scanning the issue ? Sounds like a new parts fitter.
On those Nissan 4 cylinders with higher mileage they have been known to have an issue sounding like you explaining caused by the timing chain getting stretched a little too much causing an issue with your timing. Hence misfiring. Now I must say that there are other things that can cause misfiring too. For instance fuel. Have him hook up a timing light and see if it is firing after top dead center. If yes .. could be a stretched timing chain. Hope this helps
.
Good luck
Sam

I would start by checking the resistance of all of the injectors. I saw this happen last week, I had a new injector that was reading low ohms and it was making two cylinders misfire. Replace the new one with a another new one and both cylinder ran good. I dont know what the ohm value of your injectors should be but I would want at least 10 ohms, All of them will be about the same except the bad one..I did a web search on your problem and it was covered at several places.

The MAF will not cause a miss on just one cylinder, here are the things that will, low cylinder compression, defective fuel injector, intake manifold vacuum leak at the gasket, and of course ignition system problems.

hay man. have you tried to see if your fuel pump is working or is it out of gas, Then you could checkyour timing good luck!
