Hi
If the check engine light is going on and off then it is very highly likely pointing to a misfire, and this could be due to any number of things, and your best bet by far is to have a code read done as this will give you information as to the cause of the problem, if not point you directly at the problem itself.
It could be coil packs, spark plugs, injectors, crank sensor, cam sensor, any number of things.

Hello mfriesner71; my name is Roger and I will answer for you. The correct plug gap is 0.027 to 0.031.in. Any gap between these will work fine. Just make sure they all gap the same.
