Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

To confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required.

SOURCE: 2004 Kia Rio Cinco problems

Hi

If the check engine light is going on and off then it is very highly likely pointing to a misfire, and this could be due to any number of things, and your best bet by far is to have a code read done as this will give you information as to the cause of the problem, if not point you directly at the problem itself.

It could be coil packs, spark plugs, injectors, crank sensor, cam sensor, any number of things.

Regards

Geordie

I have a 06 kia rio and its missing with almost a 100k miles would that be injectors or is their spark plugs that i could change i have had the timing belt and clutch and pressure plate changed

Change the plugs. It could be both to be honest but the spark plugs usually go first before a fuel injector. Check for vaccum leaks also. They can cause a decent miss. If you need anthing else, let me know. I am here to offer my asistance to you. Thank you very much for choosing FixYa.

SIR, 2002 KIA RIO CINCO MISSING REAL BAD

Odds are, the O2 sensor is just detecting an imbalance in the Air/Fuel ratio, therfor causing your O2 sensor code.

Start by changing your spark plug wires, if it hasn't been done in a while.

Rent a scanner, they present more information better that blinking lights. If the engine has a lot of miles, the timing belt is probably ready to fail. The better answer to your problems might be finding a good used engine in a wrecking yard rather than a rebuild of your engine to correct the oil use/plug fouling problem.

First off I don't think I will be able to answer all your questions but to get a smother ride your going towant to replace the shocks. They army to expensive. Yes a old spark pulg can cause a missfire. A miss fire is when the spark plug doesn't spam in the right area if it were grounding that could be considereda miss fire or if it is not firing at the correct time. The trany fluid keeps yours gears lubricated so they work smothly and helps with cooling. The best way to find out your fluid type is to go to the autoparts store and ask them and they can look it up for you and I would say your braek fluid would be a DOT 4 and your tranny probobly takes like a 60-75 weight oil but I'm not sure I say ask them to be sure.

I really doubt that, that is just a magnetic signal generator type of sensor for the ignition system, tellsthe computer when to fire spark plugs, are u sure u understood him correctly?, it is more likely the timing belt failed.
