Theres a tsb for a faulty fuel pump........
Access the fuel pump connector.
Monitor voltage between the White/Red (WH/RD) and Black/Yellow (BK/YE) wires, leaving the fuel pump connected. Also monitor the fuel pressure.
Voltage will normally be about 6-8v at idle and will increase with load on the engine.
Drive the car to try and duplicate the complaint. When the problem is occurring, check the fuel pressure vs. voltage to the fuel pump. If pressure is dropping but voltage is the same or increasing, check the connections right at the fuel pump. If OK, drop the fuel tank, inspect the lines internally and replace the fuel pump as needed.

No emissionwiz, the first time in the shop was where we bought it from which is a very reputable dealer who rejects about 50% of the cars they inspect, but wasn't strictly a Ford Dealer. They indicated tho that if the problems arose again, they too would have to take to a Ford Dealer. I am thinking that I need to get it into the Ford Dealer before the 30day warranty runs out on the dealer we bought from.
Dis you take it to the Ford dealer or some don't know what they are doing independent armature.
