The eng check lite comes on for a few days then goes off for a day or two then comes back on.
i had the front two O2 senors changed last yr and had the fuel injectors clean.
still doing the same thing. the test reading comes back as O2 senor bank 1. no one knows where bank 1 is.
any help- could it be a bad connection or hole in hose?
Weird. usually an intermitent problem like that for are o2 sensor means that your catalytic converter is starting to cause problems but that should only set a code for sensor 2 not both sensors. sorry i cant be more help

here's a website that has all this in formation about all this and manuals everything totally free there are many actually but I personally like few .. let me know if u need help
thanks
Guessing that all that was done correctly, maybe you need spark plugs or wires? Maybe coils? If your car has close to 100K and they have never been changed you may want to start there.
All it is saying is that it does not like the air/fuel mixture. That can be from fouled spark plugs, an open gas cap or other intake leak, a bad O2 sensor, PVC foam on the air mass sensor, throttle position sensor, etc. It is just like any carb engine when the mixture is bad. You can't just read a number and know what to replace. You have to have a feel for the symptoms. And if there are no other symptoms, it could be the code is simply the only thing wrong.
Personally my best guess would the air mass sensor. Look the inside of the oil cap. If there is foam there, then there is likely foam in the air mass sensor as well. PVC systems always throw foam into the sensor, and the only solution is to splice longer hoses into the system and into a condenser of some sort. This is worse in northern climates, in the winter. Most cars in cold conditions have this happening all the time. But as long as the light goes off eventually, don't worry about it.
Is this an O2 sensor code? If so then check the wiring to the sensor. Since the light comes on every few days then it is intermittent. Once the fault goes away then the light goes out. Fault comes back and the light comes on. Check the wiring carefuly to insure there is not a bare spot somewhere and is touching the engine or some other metal part of the car. Check the connector to ensure it latches firmly. Check the terminals inside both of the connectors to make sure thye have not spread open, are not dirty, or corroded. I once found a connection inside a fuse panel on a 97 LHS car that was not stripped back far enough at the factory. This caused and intermittent open circuit to the fuel pump. I have also reapired many a lose and dirty connector causing the check engine light to come on. Also some aftermarket parts like O2 sensors, MAP sensors, etc are made cheap and fail soon after installation. You get what you pay for. Cheap is not always a bargain.
The P0141 code points to the O2 sensor heater circuit. It could be that there is a short in the wiring to the O2 sensor or it could be that the O2 sensor heating element itself is bad. The code is for O2 sensor Bank 1 Sensor 2. Bank 1 means its the O2 sensor connected to the exhaust pipe that runs to cylinder #1. Sensor 2 means that it is likely the O2 sensor after the catalytic converter on the same exhaust pipe.
it is actually both error messages
Is it bank 1 sensor 2 or bank 1 sensor 1?
