2010 f150 wont start will turnover but no start cant hear the fuel pump start either

sounds like either the fuel pump relay or the fuel pump itself has gone out. check fuse panel first then check fuel pump relay. if those are good then check power leads to pump at tank and if you have power there then the pump has probably failed. hope this helps. Chris

02 windstar sometimes wont start

It could be a faulty fuel pump relay. It should be in the power distribution block under the hood. Hold your finger lightly on it to feel for the click. Every time you turn the key from off to on, the relay should click-which then sends power on to the pump. Try replacing the relay or swap in a known good one, before condemning the pump.
The final test for a bad fuel pump is to check for power at the gas tank's fuel pump connector, while the engine is cranking over. Power there and no fuel pump is definitely a bad pump.

I'd have to test when problem is ongoing. When you first turn on key, no crank, you should hear the pump run for a few seconds then stop. For initial prime, the computer doesn't need rpm signal. Engine cranking, the computer needs to see rpm signal or it won't ground the fuel pump relay. W/o rpm signal, no spark at the plugs and no fuel injector pulse. I know your talking about fuel, but, when problem is ongoing, check spark and fuel injector pulse, engine cranking.
Intermittent problems are a pain, have to test when problem is ongoing.

My car stopped while driving on the freeway and it wouldnt start. it has gas, battery is good, it cranks and seems to start but it wont stay on. seemd like its not getting no fuel.

most probably the fuel pump is not working. first check its relay then the pump itself.

First unhook the battery for about a half hour to reset the computer.
does that have anti-theft on it.
a remote starter ?
second either swap the relays for the starter and fuel pump or replace them outright.
when you bypass the relay to get it to crank... will it start ?

Car turns over...no fuel to the engine....

Check when starting if the fuel pump runs. If it does not, check the wiring. If you are sure with the relay and its terminals, it may be the car's computer module that may be bad. If the fuel pump runs during start, check if fuel runs to the engine after the fuel filter. If it is a new fuel filter, check if the fitting or connections are correct. If there is fuel after the fuel filter, it may be the injectors since fuel goes to the engine. Also related to the fuel being injected to the combustion chamber is the MAP sensor which measures the air in the intake and tells the engine how much fuel is needed. Check for the intake from the air filter for holes or tears. Check for loose vacuum hoses.

Check out the Starter Relay and Fuel Pump Relay in the Fuse Box under the Hood. If they are good you might Try Installing a New Fuel Pump and Filter.

TRUCK WONT START AFTER IT WAS PARKED

the only thing this could be is the fuel filter is plug or the fuel pump is out before you do all of this check your fuel pump relay first before you go to the first two.

SOURCE: 1996 chevy tahoe fuel system

check for voltage at the pump. If it has 12v there, (and a good ground) then pump is bad. there may be a pump fuse on the fuse block (can't remember) but if you find it has blown, the pump may be getting ready to fail. If fuse fixes the problem, replace it and carry an extra with you, then change the pump.

Your ECU is what acctivates your fuel pump realy. Put the key on the run possition and pull the ecu fuse for a few seconds and reinstall it ans it should accivate your realy for 5 seconds, Good luck.

Sounds like the Vehicle is POSESTED LoL ,
I would Hardwire a Key on wire around the origanal wires. Fuel Pump IS NOT going to set a Trouble Code at all ever, as it is an electrical component like headlights, as for the missfiring & guage reading above full I see nothing in commen with the 2 as long as the Supply and return hoses are
not swaped witch they cant be because it wouldnt run (thinking on keyboard) LoL-- Also check Fuel presure regulator. Hope this Helps you.

SOURCE: we have 03 avalanche,no power to fuel pump,checked

there is a wire harness above the tank and are known to go bad they give you a new one when you buy a pump from napa maybe its corroded
