Low beam headlamp stopped working on 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier. High beam works though. I replaced the headlamp bulb and cleaned the connection point and it still doesn't work. Driver's side only. Both low and high beam work on passenger side. I'm trying to find a harnessing wire diagram online so I can try to follow the connection to the other end to check for a bad ground connection or loose wiring, broken wiring, etc. Any help out there? Thanking you in advance. Linda

SOURCE: 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier wiring harness for radio

absolutely not true. when you take your stock radio out of your vehicle there are clips in it and when u take the clips out and the antenna the radio is free when you buy an aftermarket radio from best buy or wherever it will come with a harness for that specific radio now wherever you buy the radio from they probably have a selection of wiring harness for specific makes and models you just buy that and when u take it to the clips installed in the cavalier it will just snap in then the wires on the radio harness will be color coded to the ones on your new harness good luck!

ps i recommend walmart to buy the harness its about $10 there..

SOURCE: "2004 chevrolet cavalier check gages light stays on."

Look for which one of your gauges that are not working. You may need to take it to the dealer to find out exactly why. Could be a bad sensor somewhere.

No ground signal on right low beam chevrolet cavalier 1998

The bulbs are grounded to the body, so if one ground wire is dead I would expect to find a break in the wire or at the connector. You should be able to splice into the wire and run a new one to a grounding bolt.

There are no relays involved in the headlamp circuits on a 1989 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24.
The headlamp switch gets power on pin "C" (RED wire) from fusible link "A" which attaches to the starter solenoid. The headlamp switch sends the power from pin "D" (YELLOW wire) to the dimmer switch pin "C" and the dimmer switch sends the power either to the high beam lights pin "B" (LIGHT GREEN wire) or the low beam lights pin "D" (TAN wire) depending on which position it is in.

Check to make sure both head lamp bulbs are identical, ie; part numbers. If they look similar but are different numbers that can cause this issue.

There's a wiring connector located below the battery box, you can see it better from under the car. Check to see if any of the wires coming out of the connector are green from corrison, if so carefully splice in new wire(s) to repair, this is caused from the drippage from the battery tray.

I have a 2003 chevy cavalier. headlight issue

The blinking light is telling you that you have a headlight out, if you look the service light should be coming on when the light stops blinking.
Replace the head light and all should be fine.
