I need to bypass factory amp so i have sound thru my aftermarket head unit
I just built a factory amplifier/crossover bypass adapter for my 2002 Chevy Tahoe Z71 (non-Bose system) . This adapter will allow the full range of audio directly from your head unit to the door speakers. Without this adapter, the factory amplifier will cut out much of the bass / low frequency audio to the door speakers. This adapter will continue to provide an audio signal to the factory amplifier for the rear factory subwoofer and cargo area pillar speakers.

This is what the end result looks like. It is a 100% non-destructive adapter than can be installed or removed from the Tahoe at any time. It just plugs in between the factory wiring harness and the factory amplifier.

Can purchased an adapter kit at Best Buy or Circuit City that is color cordinated with the factory wires for about 12.00. This will go right into the factory plug.
